  • 5'8, 22 years old Current weight: 140 Goal weight by May 30: 136 May 2: 140 May 9: May 16: May 23: May 30: I have a lot of social events in May (my parents visiting on the 7/8th, my birthday on the 11th and away with friends the 14/15th!!) - but I'm going to do what I can and aim for a 4lb loss this month. Good luck…
  • Skinny latte's do the trick for me. If I'm out and about after work and I know I won't get time for dinner I'll just grab a latte and it sees me through for a good few hours! Also I have low calorie hot chocolate (with sweetener) before bed which seems to stop any late night hunger pangs.
  • Coffee (I just have it black), fry light & Franks hot sauce... but that's about it! :)
  • Hello! On a twin finding mission here... Age: 22 Height: 5'8 Heaviest: 159lbs (end of last year) Lightest: 129lbs (start of last year) CURRENT: 141lbs GW: around 130lbs :) I go away in July (exactly 12 weeks time) and I've got 11lbs to lose - anybody else shifting the weight for summer?
  • Yep you can! I've been doing so for the past 4 months and seeing amazing results. Just stick to a reasonable number of calories, lift heavy and eat a lot of protein
  • Walking at an incline with a relatively heavy sandbag over your shoulders is a great cardio and strength workout. It gets you sweating within minutes and is amazing for your legs and glutes!! jennifershoo is right thought, running on a treadmill is great for your fitness but you'll see minimal changes in your body because…
  • Matrix nutrition (anabolic gold) is the best protein I've ever used, you can have half a scoop if you're conscious of calories and still get 20g of protein. And chocolate mint tastes insanely good!!
  • You're looking good girl!! If you want a booty then YouTube or bodybuilding.com are definitely the best tools out there to get workout ideas. Roxy Winstanley also has a glute plan which is worth checking out! Also she's already been mentioned but if you want booty inspiration- search Amanda Latona. That girl is the booty…
  • Personally I don't lose as quickly if I eat fruit, I think it definitely has its place in a healthy diet but just because it's considered healthy it shouldn't be consumed in large quantities. I'd say 1-2 portions a day max. Go crazy on veg but with fruit I would say be a bit more conscious... It's probably true that nobody…
  • Matrix nutrition, particularly the anabolic gold, is the best protein in my opinion. You get more kg for your money, the protein % is very high and it tastes delicious! I go for chocolate mint :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
  • Thanks everyone!! I've ordered some digestive enzymes and agree that I definitely need to cut down on the processed bars... Didn't really consider that it could be wheat but that would make sense!
  • I tend to just put 100ml of skimmed milk under 'Snacks' every day to cover milk in teas and coffees. That covers around 5 mugs for me, if I feel I've had more I'll increase it :)
  • Yep! I can go weeks and weeks of doing no cardio at all and the weight still comes off as long as my diet is on point (I also weight train daily to avoid the 'skinny-fat' look). You should still do as much physical activity as you can in order to stay healthy & live well, so keep up with the light walking! :)
  • You can't beat Total 0% greek yoghurt for a high protein/low fat food. It's got much more protein than other brands of greek yoghurt too - although I'm not sure why. - Also add whey protein to anything you can - porridge, yoghurt, smoothies etc.
  • You can surely do both at the same time! The results probably won't come as quickly as if you choose to cut or bulk, but it's a lot easier to maintain. Just keep lifting and monitor your calorific intake, experimenting with different amounts to see the effects on your body. Eat too little and you won't build muscle as…
  • Lift heavy and eat tons of protein!!
  • YES. Weights are so much more important than cardio when it comes to fat/weight loss. Check this link http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/fat_loss_training_wars.htm
  • I always go for cheat meal instead of a cheat day, planned well in advance of course. And a bit of damage limitation is always good. For example, I'm getting some exam results tomorrow (eek!!) so plan to go out for dinner and drinks with friends in the evening. I'll still get up and do my morning gym, have a healthy…
  • I add 10g of vanilla whey to my porridge every morning - delicious
  • Weight training is far more effective in changing your body for both men and women. I was a cardio girl but now I train with weights daily and do cardio twice a week maximum and have managed to completely change my body (and lost a stone). - Also the key to weight loss = CONSISTENCY. Find a healthy lifestyle that you enjoy…
  • eek 1200 is so low! I stick to 1500 a day and so far lost over 14lbs in 4 months (10% of my body weight). The key is to find something you can stick to long term (i.e. forever...), even if the weight loss is slower, and listen to your body. If you're hungry, EAT. Just make sure you eat the right foods, lots of protein and…
