Unfortunately its the way too many people think.

The couch is a wonderful lifestyle. NOT!!!

Crazy stuff. Had to do some research. My smaller mid-size city in the midwest, median income is 80% of Seattle and median home price is 20% of Seattle. I knew the housing prices were much higher but didn't realize the incomes were that close.

What's your bodyfat %? Most males should not be bulking unless they are under around 12% bodyfat. The fact you say you have stomach fat leads me to believe you're not 12% or less bodyfat.

If you read the study you will find eating breakfast is one of the factors that successful weight loss maintainers have in common. It did not say eating breakfast causes weight loss.
-
And, baring this being caused by an diagnosed medical condition, the best.
-
Any facts and data other than personal observations regarding your point about just a cup of coffee for breakfast to lose/keep weight off?
-
If a doctor does not comment on weight (significant over/under or change vs prior visit) they are ignoring the elephant in the room (no pun intended) as to possible health issues.

From the CDC: "Eat breakfast every day. Eating breakfast is a common trait among people who have lost weight and kept it off. Eating a healthful breakfast may help you avoid getting "over-hungry" and then overeating later in the day." https://www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/losing_weight/keepingitoff.html

Healthcare costs are high because of the the legal liability/contingent fee lawyers. Oh and you know Congress is the American Bar Association's *kitten*.

Wish the OP would come back and say what she's doing for movement/exercise. Given the wishy washy comment "I try to get as much exercise as I can", I'm thinking in reality it's not much.

I think the point is people generally aren't constantly keeping their mouth awash in pickles, green olives, salad dressing, berries, etc like someone who drinks a liter + of soda a day (which is not uncommon). Moderation, a soda or 2 a week no big deal. Couple liters (even diet) a day could be an issue for some depending…

Much better bang for the buck with skim cow's milk.

Most individuals working an office job can get by quite well with a breakfast before work, a normal lunch and dinner after work. No need to graze, eat stuff to "tide one over", or eat stuff just because it's there.
-
Best of luck. One can do pretty much anything for 6 weeks if they put their mind to it. Hopefully it will jumpstart your efforts to get to your desired weight and you can learn diet/techniques to stay there.

I don't buy the idea reducing prices on "healthy foods" would increase consumption of these items. Look around at an all you can eat one price restaurant and notice the ratio of veggies and fruit compared to greasy entries, cheese bread, sugar/fat laden deserts, etc.

Guessing that if the words brownies, pie and cake didn't come up so often neither would the perceived need for detox..

Seems like you are sabotaging your goals, not some time period. Take ownership and results will follow. Good luck

Thank you. I was going to reply with something similar to @Leslierussell4134 . If she does think everyone should be paying the same rates for auto insurance, I'd be happy for her to help reduce the cost of my 16 year old son's auto insurance by her paying more.

As someone else said, what if he likes exercise. I start to feel like crap if I go a few days without doing some sort of exercise. We go on a big family beach vacation every couple years. I'm up, lift and back by around 10 AM to start drinking beer.

The American Heart Association recommends no more than half your discretionary calories from added sugars. For most women that would be 100 calories, for men 150. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/HealthyLiving/HealthyEating/Nutrition/Added-Sugars_UCM_305858_Article.jsp#mainContent

Group where I work has decided it's time to bring in treats a couple times a week. Unfortunately about 3/4 of them are obese. Probably the best frequency. I pass on the events since they don't work with my nutrition goals.

The second to last sentence about keeping out of it is the correct action.

Paying more for insurance when you have a statistically greater likelihood of using the insurance is not discrimination. Is it discrimination when car insurance costs more for a 16 year old male with no accidents/tickets vs a 35 year old male with no accidents/tickets driving the same vehicle and living in the same…

May be crashing off the caffeine in the Red Bulls. Not a good thing, cut back or eliminate.

Sure there's a choice, sit in the regular seat or don't go.

I'd rather see a kid with that then tethered to a video game

I work for a large corporation. Some managers will get them for anyone that asks. Others need doctor note.

Glad you feel better

The hotel workout rooms I've seen are pretty pathetic IMO. Get accommodations with cooking facilities and a 1 month membership at a nearby gym
