Interesting Thoughts on "Ghosts"
Interesting blog post I saw. You need a ghost. And you need to be afraid of it. Oh, I know. You ain't scared of nothing, and you still have that "No Fear" shirt from the 1990's to prove it. But I also know that every successful person, in any field, has a ghost or two that haunts them. A "ghost" is something that follows…

Really good blog post from Dean Somerset a well respected trainer. I bolded a few key items. "Awards" Rant
They are organizing a step challenge at work, Some of my group was going to do it so I took a look. It involves measuring steps with a tracker or phone app. Since I don't have a tracker, I looked at the recommended phone app. When I looked at the app, this "challenge/award opportunity" came up. WTF, some app developer…

Insight on Fat Loss Training Programs
Insightful thought from a trainer I follow on social media: "If you are on your 10th fat loss training program or have never graduated from the fat loss training program I doubt the fat loss training program is the issue. Act like an adult and be accountable for the other 23 hours a day. Eat and sleep like an adult and…

Jack Lalanne's Advice
Was listening to a Strength Matters podcast and their guest mentioned a picture he had seen of a black and white TV screen with Jack Lalanne's diet advice from probably 60 years ago. Had to look up the picture. Jack suggested eliminating or greatly reducing these items from one's diet: None of this nutrition stuff is new.

Interesting article: 1 – 25 Goblet Squats with 50% Bodyweight Before you graduate to barbell squats, you should be able to goblet squat to parallel using a dumbbell or kettlebell for 25 unbroken reps. Discipline or Regrets
Listening to a podcast and the person being interviewed quoted Jim Rohn: “We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.” IMO, interesting thing to think about.

Air Bike for Home Use
Wanted to know if anyone had experiences with higher end home/gym fan style exercise bikes. I'm looking at an Air Assault, Schwinn Airdyne Pro or the new Rogue Echo bike. My gym has an Air Assault and I have a love/hate relationship with it. The Pro and the Rogue bikes use a belt drive as opposed to a chain and are suppose…

Doies Bulking Get Too Much Press?
Would appreciate some thoughts. There is a lot of discussion on forums, articles on line, in magazines, etc on bulking. Looking around most gyms and even more on the streets, beaches, etc,…
