Are you eligible for any government assistance if not already taking part?
-
Yep, sometimes suitcase carries will refer to a unilateral carry depending on the source.
-
But eliminating a victim mentality involves the need to take personal responsibility.
-
If you READ you will notice I never said nobody experiences intimidation in a gym. Specifically said myself and some relatives I asked.

If you want to add a "whoopong" amount of protein you can get 15g in 80 calories of beef jerky. If just looking a protein 15 grams in 300 calories of food is probably one of the more inefficient ratios you can find.

I'm sure some men and some women have been given unsolicited advice and some of both sexes haven't. I reported on my experience and experience of some close to me, just like you did.
-
FWIW, I asked my wife and sister in laws (all have been regular gym goers for years and attractive by most people's standards). None have been given unsolicited advice at a gym Also FWIW believe most women only gyms are out of business or hanging on by a thread at least national chains.

Yep, Remember that a calorie is always a calorie whether it comes from fat or carbohydrate. Reducing fat and saturated fat in your family's diet is important to maintaining heart health and reducing calories. However, fat-free or reduced-fat food choices aren't always low in calories. They can be high in sugar or other…

Here is a bit more information on the recommendation: Expert panels worldwide have made consistent recommendations on daily sugar intake. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends no more than 6 teaspoons (25 grams) of added sugar per day for women and 9 teaspoons (38 grams) for men.1 The AHA limits for children vary…
-
The 25g number refers to added sugar. Would not include sugar from fruit

Amazing what appropriate dietary changes can do. Good for him.

LOL, if this is a real thing. I was just listening to a podcast yesterday and the host was talking about how the officers of HOAs tend to be the most anal retentive, people who need to get a life individuals, he's ever known. Sounds like he was right.

I'm with you.

You are playing the victim. YOU are over eating for your activity level, and age, especially at 25, has minimal impact on calorie burn. The "desk job" isn't putting on the pounds Quit being a victim and you will take care of the extra pounds. Best of luck.

I would agree in the case of underweight on a BMI type measure. But with the number of people underweight combined we with the number of normal+ weight people that have bodyfat percents in the right range for bulking we are talking probably less that 10-15% of the US population where it is really viable.
-
Also, there are not all that many people out in the gyms of the world that are at or near this criteria: "I don't know what that number is for females, but I'd guess 18% or lower. My male bodybuilding friends typically don't start bulking unless they are sub 10% and cut when they're around 15% BF." Pretty much self…

*kitten* what they think. Do what you think is right for you.
-
Then just skip it or do it occasioanlly when you can afford it.

Gym intimidation is pretty much a marketing term developed by Planet Fitness. Second question, no people don't usually comment on your workouts at most gyms (see my post above). I've had some issues and needed to do a few more unusual looking things (per doctor's orders) a few times and people have asked out of curiosity.…
-
True, but you don't drop every rep of a deadlift from waist high (unless bumper plates and platform). *kitten* at my gym doing that and *kitten* up plates.

My sample of 1 experience. I've been going to gyms for over 40 years. Everything from college rec centers, YMCAs, local clubs, powerlifting gyms, national chains and had day passes at 2 places that make most lists of the most hardcore gyms in the US. I have never received unsolicited advice (although I have received good…

I would agree. I would also tend to think most that have gym imtdation also have issues with social anxiety in other situations that are harder to deal with than a gym where weights clang.
-
Many of the champion bodybuilders were solid powerlifters before bodybuilding. Think Arnold, Franco Columbo, Ronnie Coleman, etc. You're not going to look like a bodybuilder IMO, unless you have a good bit of powerlifting movements in your program.
-
I would agree. Unless some special medical circumstances wouldn't want a loved one that low. There is a pretty nice calculator out there that gives Dietary Reference Intakes ("DRI is the general term for a set of reference values used to plan and assess nutrient intakes of healthy people. These values, which vary by age…

I'd say it's because you have to take the daily calories into consideration. If someone was a 100-110 poind endurance athlete eating 4000 calories, 400 cal for 100g of protein a day may be fine. For someone on a 1200 calorie a day diet 30g of protein is not enough.
-
Someone will be seriously hurt, lawsuit, they will be a done deal.
-
USDA fe recommends 10-35% of calories from protein.
-
As others have said, get to a doctor and find the root cause of the tiredness. Good luck.

Perhaps a more appropriate comment would be the article cherry picks from 7 studies that the author who apparently doesn't have PhD or Registered Dietitian after her name chose. Personally I believe there is middle ground and carbs are important. Carbs like fruits, veggies, whole grains. Very moderate to limited…

True, but the OP says they're really doing much activity so does't sound like real interested in long term health. May well not be interested in eating anything remotely resembling a balanced diet either. Not always, but often go together.
