Good job on the loss! I myself have lost 38 kilos since May 2014 and have stalled. I remind myself why I started this journey and where I want to be. Only you can decide on what motivates you. Can you make healthier versions of your baking? Or do an exercise that you enjoy? I have developed a love for zumba as of 2 days…

I have had the following "How much have you lost?" "You are fading away". Um no I am not! and lastly my favourite " you have made a great start but still have a long way to go"

Thank you all for your time put into replying as well as your support and encouragement I honestly didn't expect such a huge response. Most of you were correct and I was informed when calling 2 clinics today that I "wasn't a suitable candidate". I am kind of glad as I was scared of having this done. So it's back to good…

Thank you MrM27 for your kind words but do you think I dont already know that? I came here looking for support scared my weight is going to kill me. Even with the next 50 pounds gone I will still be obese. I admit my sheer laziness got me to this point but having lost 38 kg this year I am a lot less lazy than I use to be.

Maybe don't weigh yourself? Eat like you were previously then weigh a week from now. You probably haven't gained as much as you think you have.

I think it depends on the one you take. I am currently taking them and have lost 38 kg this year. Which one are you taking?

Garmin forerunner watch is great. It counts your daily steps and gives you new goal steps to reach everyday. It also has a hrm that tracks how many calories you burn throughout the day. It was $240 Aus and well worth it.

Thank you DebsMitley. Did you find it hard to eat afterwards? How much did you lose in the first few months afterwards? And could you still exercise daily? Thank you :)

I didn't flag anyone. If I did it was accidental this is one of the first times I have posted. I have much bigger problems at the moment than worrying about flagging someone's opinion that I asked for!

Doesn't a lapband make it difficult to eat? An article I was reading said that it can only hold a tiny amount and the first few weeks you are virtually only able to consume liquids. I don't know why everyone is so against this? I know everyone struggles to lose weight and I think you are all amazing to be able to do it.

Thank you all for your comments! This is more than eating less and exercising if it were that simple for my body I would do it. Although I admit it's my own fault I am in this position I hate living life like this. Too embarrassed to go out, people looking at me and wondering how I let myself get to this size. I will call…

Thanks billiejaime! But if I have a heart attack from my morbid obesity I will also be up for thousands of dollars. Not to mention the daily embarrassment someone my size faces! I agree lapband is dangerous but it may end up being worth the gamble.

Thank you Kyta32 for the great response.

I still have approx 50 pounds to lose. I would still reduce calories and exercise but just feel it may help me keep the weight off forever.

I am not a cheater AJ I have lost 38 kg on my own since May this year. My body has stopped responding and I still have a long way to go. I don't want to have a heart attack before I reach 30 :(.
