  • I go to a small gym just around the corner but it´s closing for holidays the next 15 days. So I´m switching to the free machines on the streets and running outside in the mean time (very early in the morning, because of the horrible heat). I don´t know if there are those street machines in your countries, but those are a…
  • I keep on running in solitaire places because I rather like running without nasty guys shouting nasty things at my bouncing butt every 5 minutes. But I had a few problematic encounters in the past while running or cycling alone wich I solved by comfronting them and making them run away scared of me ;). Fortunately I´m tall…
  • Yes but there´s no sugar in vaping liquids, only glycerin, propylene glycol, flavors and nicotine (optional)
  • On the contrary, I find that vaping sweet liquids helps with the sugar cravings. And nicotine is an appetite supressor and a metabolism enhancer so it really helps when loosing weight. That´s why I always vape liquids containing nicotine.
  • Don´t think it is related to hair. I never had hair in those areas and had a lot of chaffing when I weighted 95 kilos. Now I´m 75 and my thighs still touch but now I don´t get any chaffing. Even when I still have 10-15 kilos to loose. I think it´s more related to sweat and the natural greasyness of the skin. And during the…

  • Seriously, don´t listen to the scaremongers. Of course vaping is not healthy but is so much more healthy than smoking. It´s all about risk reduction. And it has the added benefit of appetite reduction too.
  • I have a similar problem with my legs: because of frequent bicycle use they´re too muscular and I can´t find tight pants to fit my calves except for elastic ones. I don´t want to look like She-Hulk but well you can´t loose targeted volume so I try to embrace them and I am training my arms so they don´t look so mismatched.…

  • Microneedling, fresh made vitamin C serum and tretinoin. Your stretch marks won´t dissapear but will improve a lot if you´re patient.
  • Why would anyone want to quit caffeine? Why quitting one of life´s greatests pleasures?
  • Thank you very much, it seems very useful  Now I just need a Metric System converter
  • Don´t think it would be accurate. Personally I walk VERY fast or jog with my poles, and my heart rate is much higher than just walking, so I think I could log it as jogging. But not sure anyway. Perhaps I´ll get myself an HR monitor so I´ll now for sure how many calories I burn.
  • It´s walking or jogging with special poles using an special tecnique similar to cross-country skiing. I´t supposed to burn more calories than simply walking because you have to exersice your upper body, something you don´t do when walking, jogging or running, using only your lower body. Looks like this I use the poles for…
  • Also olive oil helps. It does nothing for existing stretch marks but it may prevent new ones by improving skin elasticity.
  • I needle them at home (1.5 mm dermaroller and 1.5 single needles for targeted marks once a month) and every two days apply home made fresh vitamin C serum and 0.1% tretinoin creme, wich is easily accesible and cheaper here in Spain than in other countries. I´m afraid the stretch marks will never go away but after a year…
  • It´s a very personal question. Some people might find the neutral, cushioned shoes the best for them while other people may be better off barefoot, minimal, with orthetic insoles, rigid or flexible soles, etc. I think you should ask a podiatric doctor.
  • I found this article that may interest you http://www.webmd.com/beauty/cellulite/cellulite-causes-and-treatments I´m afraid that working out the zone won´t get rid of it, and it´s a well known fact that no work out can get rid of targeted fat.http://www.yalescientific.org/2011/04/targeted-fat-loss-myth-or-reality/
  • I´ve been a long time trekker here in Southern Spain. I guess Utah is a very hot and sunny place indeed so my tips may be useful for you too. You´ll need: - A pair of good shoes with rubber soles and a good grip of the ground. (Trekking boots or trail running shoes). - A backpack - A water bottle - Sandwiches, apples,…
  • I´ve already lost about 17 kg, and even thought I could easily cross my legs before, I could not sit in a yoga position. Now I can put both my ankles over my knees. I look forward for the moment when I´ll be able to put my knees under my chin and sit on my heels :)

  • It really sucks when someone comes up and says "you´ve lost a lot of weight. What´s your secret?. Come on, tell me". As if there where some miracle pill or something you can just swallow and become thin. When I answer "honestly, there´s no secret, only exercising, eating less and enduring the hunger"...(oh, the hunger)…
  • A bit off topic, I know but I love the giant locust behind you in the first picture
  • And remember, exposing youself to cold weather improves your brown fat versus white fat ratio, and your body burns more calories just to keep you warm. 'Good' brown fat stimulated by cold, study shows medicalnewstoday.com/articles/278646.php
  • I don´t agree with the statement about all good running shoes being expensive. You can find a good pair of cheap running shoes for 20-30€ if you don´t buy famous trade marks. There are very good house brands in sport stores such as Decathlon, (or Sprinter, Décimas, Otero, etc depending of your country). For example…
  • Here´s what I do when I have to attend to some "eating party": I don´t eat anything at all during the day and save all my calories budget for that party. I try to keep in my daily goal. Since it´s only 1.200 calories I train more than usual the previous days to get more net calories. And if I find it necessary I fast the…
  • I have the opposite problem: I find it easy to train in winters (winters here in Andalusia are very warm) but when summer comes, it´s really hell to go out during the day so training becomes virtually impossible if you don´t want to die on the streets of a heat stroke. I think I enter in a state of "summertation"…
  • It will hurt your wallet. You´d be better off saving that money and buying some undersized clothes and making it a personal goal to get into them.
  • "Hypnotherapy is said to be effective for such things as helping people lose weight, quit smoking, or overcome a phobia. Most of the evidence for the effectiveness of hypnotherapy is anecdotal, despite the claims of such groups as the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). Not surprisingly, all the anecdotes are…
