  • That's awesome. I am 62 and before surgery felt like I was 82. Now I feel 42 hahahaha. Cut my age in half and now that I can move, I plan to kill it. Can you add me as a friend?
  • Hi everyone. I have been on MFP for a number of years. I had an 830 day streak and then lost it, but have come to realize that what I'm logging is more important than logging on, and what's ultimately important is what I'm putting into my mouth. Lately I have consistently been eating about 1400 calories per day and when I…
  • I know what you mean. I gained weight from being inactive due to arthritis in hips. Hard to lose.
  • Thank you for all the input. I have found it helpful as I try to re-evaluate where I am.
  • Thankyou hroderick. Will have to check into that.
  • Okay, I guess I just like to wing it and not write down everything I eat. It seems like a logical place to start. Thanks friends.
  • Could it be age related? We slow down as we age.
  • I know how you feel. I have been up and down with my weight but now I have a tilted pelvis and it's hard to even walk. That means I need to put more emphasis on what I eat, but it's so hard most of the time.
  • 2 egg whites and 1 yoke, a bit handful of fresh spinach, about a tablespoon of shredded cheese. Microwave one minute (stirring halfway through). Add pepper and pink sea salt. It's delicious. I usually have this at home and then when I get to work I have a yogurt or fruit as well.
  • Good job! I have a question.... I have hip & leg problems. I'm wondering how much the pain is associated with being overweight. Has anyone who lost weight noticed less pain in joints?
  • AWESOME! You look beautiful and amazing. Can you share what things helped you the most? What were your biggest challenges and what were the things that helped you stay on track the best?
  • I would love new friends. I've been on and off of MFP for a couple years and think it would help if I had someone to connect with. I need motivation now and then and I love hearing about other people's successes and challenges and tips. I did lose 34 pounds previously but then suffered a pelvic injury and couldn't move or…
  • It is recommended that you eat 6 times per day. 3 meals and 3 snacks. A meal consists of 3 food groups and a snack consists of 2 food groups. So an apple and peanut butter toast would constitute a meal ( 3 food groups). If you have 3 such small meals per day and 3 snacks, you should be able to figure out what to eat each…
  • You really do need to stop drinking soda. If you do some research you will find that too much sugar is killing us. Too much salt is bad for you but too much sugar will kill you. Fruit juice is laden with sugar too. I gave up drinking soda when I noticed my teeth weren't quite as white anymore. Try putting some fruit slices…
  • What about herbal tea, or herbal iced tea? Make your own and use stevia or honey or nothing.

  • I feel the same. Would like to lose 40 to be comfortable with myself again. Taking it 5 pounds at a time, but haven't lost any yet. It's only been a couple weeks for me but staying on track is my challenge. I need a sponsor. :)
