  • I'm also in recovery and haven't had a drink in nine months. I feel great! The mental and physical effects are so worth it for me. That being said, I realize abstinence is not for everyone
  • I'm not big on the "regular" Chobani with the fruit in the bottom...but the "Indulgent" flavors...amazing! I've only been able to find Mint & Dark Chocolate and Banana & Dark Chocolate at the stores here so far, but they are both great! They're 140 calories per serving, so having one of them with a banana for breakfast…
  • -Having a big butt! -Not wanting to look in the mirror -Not having a defined jawline -Double chin -Having to manipulate the angle of the camera to take good selfies -"Thunder thighs" -Having to ask a sales clerk if they have bigger sizes in the back -Being told my size is only available online -Feeling less than because I…
  • I would love to have a mentor. I joined MFP in November and have lost about 10 lbs so far. I'm starting back at college next week and will be working too...so I definitely need someone who has tips for scheduling as far as meal planning and exercising goes. I recently discovered a love of cooking and would love to exchange…
  • My meals tend to vary day to day, but you're welcome to check out my diary. I usually eat a light breakfast, light/medium lunch, a nice sized dinner, and eat a few snacks throughout the day. I try to cook on Mon, Wed, and Fri, and eat leftovers the other days.
  • ^same. I'm pretty busy and don't like to spend a huge amount of time cooking, so I try to cook a lot at once so it will tie us over for a few days.
  • I guess I just don't know how that would work with some stuff...like if I make a casserole or something that's kind of large and has a lot of servings, I'm not sure how I would weigh that on my scale. The measurements of my scale are about 7 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W Can a larger dish that extends over the sides of the scale quite…
  • I wish I liked cooked broccoli and cauliflower. I can eat them raw, but I've never liked them cooked in any way I've tried...
  • To my knowledge, the reason that the numbers differentiate between male and female standards is that men burn more calories at rest than women do. This is due to the fact that A ) men tend to weigh more and B ) men have increased musculature compared to women. There is no reason that simply having a Y chromosome would…
  • Hey guys. Thanks for the feedback. I do eat a lot of snacks, like granola bars, fruit, nuts, yogurt, etc. My diary is open if anyone wants to take a look at what my food intake is like. I have been trying to eat mostly solid food especially for the last few days, and I know that the shakes are not sustainable. I'm just…
  • But I will reiterate what was said before which is that a totally liquid diet is not a good idea...for one thing, those shakes only have about 190 calories in them. You would have to drink about 6-7 of those a day to meet a 1200 calorie diet.
  • I don't see a problem with it as long as you're only replacing 1-2 meals a day and you are still eating enough snacks/food (preferably nutrient dense) during the rest of the day to meet your caloric and nutrient requirements. I drink the equate weight loss shakes from Walmart. I usually will have one for breakfast, one for…
  • I would love to have some friends to motivate me.
