  • Pushing a stroller all over can give you amazing results. Find every excuse you can to get out and walk even if it's just a few minutes at a time. Also, make sure your posture is good. I swear that was the number 1 thing that got me back in shape after both of my kids. Don't stress yourself out over exercise if you are…
  • Ummm i want you as a neighbor !!!
  • Cheaper part of the country = lower paying jobs Trust me i am in one of those cheaper places to live. I just bought a house for what some of you make in a week. Hell, what i make in a month is probably what some of you make in a few days.
  • I went through the same thing over and over in my apartment building. Something about this place attracts less then desirable types. I guess mine was worse than yours really. Every few days i would have to break up underage parties in the stairway and around the outside of the building in the middle of the night. I know…
  • I got the Garmin Vivofit and i absolutely love it. Never take it off. It's a great way to see how much i move or don't move. It's giving me a better understanding of my exercise burns. The steps part is great because i really wanted to at least get up and move more. It makes it sort of competitive with strangers so i don't…
  • Walk Focus on your nutrition Walk Take your prenatal vitamins Walk Hydrate (especially with those vitamins) Walk Get enough sleep Walk Avoid stressing yourself out Walk Did i mention walk? It's good for you when you are pregnant. Just make sure you rest your feet and don't wear yourself out. Every day that baby grows…
  • Small town i live in so whenever possible i try to buy things local and hold off on the internet shopping.
  • Set it to sleep at night when you lay down and wake it up in the morning when you get out of bed. it will tell you how long you sleep and the charts will show you how much you move around. It might not be the most useful tool but it could have a good purpose. In my case i discovered what i suspected. I don't get enough…
  • Sometimes that little bump up in calories is enough energy to help motivate more movement. That's the way i've always seen it. A couple extra drops of fuel can move you farther than fumes.
  • I thought about that one. I haven't been anywhere near a store that has anything other than hearing aid batteries. I have a button battery shopping list that is growing rather quickly.
  • I had someone on my friends list say that theirs done the same grouping of activities. So far all of mine have been individual. One day last week i had one short activity that didn't show up at all. It was just a test type thing i did so i wasn't worried about it but it just never appeared.
  • I just want things to work as advertised. I'm not that upset or i would have called them asking for help or complaining by now. Even with the dips it seems to be working out a lot better than the HR on my bike. That thing likes to tell me my heart rate is somewhere around 185 when i am peddling 10 mph. No way.
  • I noticed that. No drops but i still see a pattern of dips. I also noticed that every time i look at the numbers while im riding my heart rate goes down. I wonder if i am doing it myself like subconsciously meditating ??? lol i dont know
  • McDonalds fits in my day. I've already planned it for breakfast tomorrow !!! Wonder if the egg white mcmuffin counts in their sale price? Probably not so i will most likely opt for full calories.
  • I just went up and tried it out 6 times. I got 2 different weights. First and last matched and the middle 4 times matched. Then i realized the floor tile was moving on the first and sixth times. I bet that little wiggle is enough to throw it off. Adding that the weight difference was about 1/2 lb.
  • I have a scale that calibrates every time i use it. I just went up and tested it over and over and i get the same reading every time. I even moved it around on the floor (my floors are very uneven) and i was getting the same number. Maybe you could check out a scale like that. It was a middle priced scale i forgot already…
  • There's 2 sides to this one. I believe it is polite to take what is offered (you control how much) and be cordial about it. BUT you are at an age where you have to start being assertive and not let people bring you down, especially not your own family. This could be a good time for you to do both. Buy a bag of salad if…
  • I would just weigh them every time i eat them and go by how many grams. I love those texas croutons but you can't figure out how many calories would be in each crouton because they aren't all the same size. Look through that bag again, you have some that seem to be broken, end pieces, giant ones, small ones... Not…
  • OMFG Easter is coming, im super excited now thinking about Cadbury eggs and PEEPS!!!
  • Diuretics do not dehydrate you. They increase the frequency of urination but do not increase the quantity of urine that you put out. There are plenty of people out there that drink nothing but coffee and they are not peeing out more than they are putting in. You can count diuretics like coffee and tea towards your water…

  • I'm cheap, depends what is on sale. I absolutely love those black licorice things with the panda on the wrapper, they're so yummy. If they aren't on sale i look for swedish fish or good n plentys. I love things that i can count out.
  • When i was 15 i was a competitive dancer too. I was 5'4 and weighed around 150 lbs. I was seriously fit back then. <sigh> Everyone is going to be different so if she is small framed i would think she might not want to be that big. Get her to start eating more protein. Start switching out portion sizes of her foods. She…
  • I know a few people that have tried it. The gas they got from those shakes was enough to make you float away like a hot air balloon. They did not have success, not one of them. The problem was that they were replacing solid foods with a drink and they were tempted to eat in between to make up for not chewing for an entire…
  • Vivofit doesn't vibrate, after a while i got in the habit of checking it more often. I put an app on my phone that vibrates every 20 minutes telling me to get up, i use that to remind me to check my vivofit. I got a bit obsessive but it's kind of like playing beat the clock.
  • Do you have access to student health care services? There may be someone qualified to help you and possibly even a nutritionist on staff. It would definitely be worth looking into.
  • There's a group called Haven... http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/101212-haven
  • I like to wrap each piece in a foil packet and some days i season with butter and italian seasoning. Lately we have been enjoying it with some Ken's Light Italian Dressing, no oil or other seasoning needed that way. It comes out sooooo moist and flaky. Oh it's really good just plopped on top of thin lemon slices and baked…
  • Thanks for that!!! I love new recipes. That will have to wait until we get through the 4 free loaves of bread i got at the grocery last week. Sometimes price wins over quality in my house.
  • Too much moving around when i am sick with an upper respiratory issue for me is just as bad as not enough moving around. I average pneumonia about 3 times a year and sometimes bronchitis too. Everything in Moderation. At most i would take a few short walks. Every time i push myself i end up in the hospital getting…
  • My mom just bought me an air popper because my boyfriend eats popcorn almost every single day and i make it on the stove the old fashioned way. I hate the greasy dishes and making something that i don't eat. Coconut oil can handle a higher temperature and is great for popcorn.
