I want those abs. (flings donut.... Picks up donut)

Could you also quit spelling quitting "quiting"? Thx

Yes, I just got mine and took my first run and it recorded to MFP as 9mph (zoinks!). Annnnd, the burned calories show up in the timeline, but my daily graph doesn't update. So they have MFP integration but all the data points are incorrect. Ay yi yi.

Whoa! With a screenshot too!! Thank you, thank you!!

Hey GSH! Thank you so much, very helpful. (Sorry, I just noticed this notification. I need message board training! Lol) Too bad about the MFP sync. In my best of shape, not sure I ever broke 7.5/mi! Hopefully they'll correct. Good news about tennis. Do you know if these other custom profiles upload to MFP with they're…

I use both a Polar H7 chest strap and a Mio Alpha wrist strap. Both are fine for steady state, lower impact type activities like running or elliptical. As far as say strength training, occasionally the H7 will stop transmitting very, very briefly if the impact is quite high (maybe burpees?), but the Mio is more sensitive…

Thanks. I seem to get a couple months out of my H7 strap. Any insights into the other things I mentioned? I think custom intervals can be imported to the watch.

Hi. Little off topic, but I'm considering getting the M400. Does anyone know if this will track activities like tennis? I know you can set it to Outdoor Workout, but is there the possibility to add custom workouts? Ideally, I don't want to go to Flow and rename sessions to correspond (not to mention, they'll be logged as…

keep going? you could make it to 6000

I'd always stick with weight measurements vs. volume. And 1/2 cup serving seems big - seems like they have a tendency to go on the smaller side so 1/4 seems like the most they'd ever say was a single serving. Just my 2 cents. :)

That's crazy. Not to be an alarmist, but might you have a problem with your thyroid? No way should you be gaining at 1200, even at 103 pounds. Even at 1300 (you've got two different figures)
-
Thanks to both of you. I will check this site out. Cheers

Ay yi yi. Gentle why don't you? Mostly everything has some form of glucose, sucrose. Let's not get too extreme.

I've never been afraid of irrelevant! Thx!

Yes, thank you!

Thank you. (Yes, awful winter is right. Too cold to walk two blocks to the gym #solazy)

You're saying then this does burn fat despite lower calorie expenditure? This is my understanding.
-
I thought there was a beneficial thermic effect that lasts for sometime afterwards? Also, I play a lot of tennis and I don't think long steady runs are great for explosiveness.
-
Thank you. It took me four time reading this to do the math! Haha. But I get it. I like it.

I am trying to lose fat and minimize the time I work out. My normal cardio routine would be about 6 mile run at around an 8:30 pace. My base is fine. The high intensity portion of my HIIT workout, I get to about 175-185 bpm. The maximum heart rate I've ever recorded with a chest strap is 202 bpm.
-
I am able to recover fine, though of course towards the end it gets a bit tough. But it's totally managable.
-
And thank you. I think I'm relatively close to your suggestion. :)
-
I should have been clearer. I'm doing a 3 min warm up, then alternating 30s high intensity with 60s low intensity, then a 3 min warm down. Sorry.
-
Me too :)

If you read the first chapter or so of "In Defense of Food," by Michael Pollan, you might find he has an interesting take on American's attitudes towards food vs. Western European's. Not normally a fan of his, but I grant him that it's compelling. FWIW

Add me too if you like. I yo-yo a bit, always gaining 10+ in the winter. I usually lose it by summer, but I'm aiming for spring this time! I'm about 1 week back to working out and could use some support!! Thanks. :)

I use Endomondo primarily because it was one of the first trackers to track exercises beyond running (I especially play a lot of singles tennis in addition to weightlifting and biking). It syncs up with MFP and the premium membership unlocks a variety of diagnostics and charts and whichy-woo which may or may not be of…
