Hi! Looks like I'm a day late, but that's par for the course for me. I'm Erica, 35, have an adorable 4 year old little boy. I also have a congenital heart defect that wasn't discovered until after I had my son and a dr realized I was in heart failure. Fun time, but it's been corrected with open heart surgery. Now I'm just…

Eating less calories is what causes you to lose weight. For myself, eating low carb makes it easier for me to maintain a calorie deficit. But I'm still losing weight because I'm eating fewer calories. I do still track my calories, because if you go overboard on the fats and oils, you can very easily find yourself eating…

My husband is tall & skinny. 6' and 140 lbs with his clothes on. The only time he's ever gained weight was when he was managing a cafe and could eat whenever and wasn't really that busy. He lost all weight he had gained within 3 months of starting a new job. He doesn't eat healthy and skinny doesn't equal healthy. He's…

I've yet to find a pair of running shorts that work for me. They always bunch up between my thighs and I end up with chafing. Seriously, 5 miles of pulling your pants down every few minutes blows. I wear running skirts now from skirtsports and I freaking love them. The compression short underneath doesn't ride up (usually,…

I love my Garmin Vivoactive. it counts steps, you can use a chest strap HRM with it, it does indoor & outdoor running, walking, cycling & swimming. It's a smart watch, so I get my phone alerts as well and they're really not that expensive.

I have a ridiculously high heart rate even at rest. I'm in the 90s at rest, walking pushes me into the 130s and I can push into the 200s with a run. I am stuck on a 30 day event monitor to figure out why I hit 250 on a run a couple of weeks ago. But for me, it's not really a huge deal and I typically barely even notice the…
