I have read all the post so I can be ready for the future when I am at my goal. The only thing I would change is my window of lbs gained before I would get back on track. I would she 3lbs as a marker. I look at that as 2 lbs is water and 3lbs is a lb of fat gained. Letting it get to even 5 lbs weight gain is really hard to…

I really appreciated the advice to keep tracking all I eat even the binge. Yes I think MFP is helping. I had a good weekend. Entered everything. No binge. What I did do because I heard a conversation on the radio that wheat makes you tired and bloated. So on Friday I stopped eating wheat, If I have a piece of bread it will…

Today is a new day. I didnt give into a binge. Yes I had a few things but I stopped because I had to record what I ate. I new I had a little room but not how much. So I owned up to the calories and then went to bed. I slept well didn't wake up feeling fired, guilty, mad at myself. When I binge I still have to carry on with…

I suggest taking your measurements. If the scale doesnt move the inches may go down. I am using an article of clothing that I want to get into. I have it hanging so I see it all day long. I find this motivates me to stay on track.

We are all struggling one way or another ours is just food. I lost 30lbs and gained it back on MFP. Over 6 years. We have to…

Hi I especially feel heavy when I look in the mirror at the gym while doing exercises. I dont feel that way when I look in my mirrors at home. I cant tell which is true. Hi LavalChow, an injury will set you back. Start small 5 minute exercise intervals. Add on as you feel stronger. After awhile exercise becomes a good habit.

Hi Just getting started today. Finding my way around. I seem to only motivate myself to stay on track when I have a goal to motivate me. September it was a wedding to attend. October is a winter coat I love . Sounds silly but it seems to work. Nothing else does.

you have to eat to drop the weight

Agree you have to get on that scale daily. The weight will creep on quickly. I know. It happened to me. This is the first time since I dropped the weight. I think once you get a taste of skinny nothing else tastes better. You have to get their first. If you are in craving mode you will watch the scale climb but it will get…

Hi from Toronto, I am also an RN retired after 33 years. It was hard always struggling. I didnt get the weight off until I retired. It is hard with shift and kids. Possibly if I had of made it on one of the diets I started getting control of my weight my life would have been easier. Get the weight off now. Once it is off…

Hi everyone, new to the board but not knew to dieting and binging. It was really hard to finally after a lifetime of dieting to loose the 50 lbs. I did it. Unfortunately I did not loose the cravings with the 50lbs. I will not put that weight back on. So know I fight the battle 50lbs lighter. Those cravings are brutal once…
