I ran 3 miles without walk breaks for the first time ever. In 33 min! My best last fall was 38 minutes and my 1st 5k took me 54 B)

500 days of logging :D

Went for a run this morning after a 6" snowfall last night. It was icy, slushy and cold. After the 1.5 mi point I noticed the strangest thing. I was smiling and couldn't stop! Smiling and running have never been two things that go together before, especially at 15 degrees :D

Despite single digits temps I ran 4 days this week. Then had to go shopping because I am down both a cup size and a pant size! The hard work is paying off :)

That sometimes mid conversation, someone who you haven't seen in a while stops mid sentence, then blurts out "did you loose a bunch of weight". (Yes, 80 lbs so far)

This made me laugh! :D I would definitely classify that as unexpected!

Yesterday was a birthday lunch for a coworker. I didn't eat any cake!

I wore a dress to work for the first time ever. One of my coworkers called me svelte! Made my week!

There are days when exercise feels like torture. But I do it anyway. Not because I should, or because I'm fighting against my genetics. But because after a good workout when my muscles feel weak and shaky, mentally I feel awesome. That glow keeps me going the rest of my day!

Not racing in the Athena category for my next triathlon (165 and above)

Lindsey Stirling. The lack of lyrics is less distracting for me and the beats keep me going on both the trail and the elliptical.

Ditto on the dry shampoo. There are much better options out now than there used to be. Aveda came out with one recently that I adore.

Dealing with the unexpected loss of my father is without a doubt, one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am so sorry for what you are going through. I know that that gaping void in your life will always be there. I also know that eventually you won't cry every time you think of him. Eventually you will smile at the…

Today I am greatful for good friends and their encouraging words.

I work at a hospital. When I hit about a 65 lb loss, one if the nurses cornered me to ask if I had had surgery. I guess she wanted to know which Dr. I used. I was dumbfounded.

That reactions to my weight loss (75 lbs so far) would range from others being proud of me, to fascinated by it, to frustrated. I am still confused by those who seem angry about it. . .

This! Also, that it was selfish of me to spend time on myself instead of the family members I was caring for. I had a coworker as me how I was losing the weight. I told her honestly, calorie tracking and working out 5-6 days a week. She said it wasn't worth it to her. I used to think that way too.

Run a full 5k without walking and do a (sprint) triathlon. I just signed up for a tri this June!

This. I don't think I've had a visible collarbone in my entire adult life!

365 days of logging :)

I think some people make snarky, backhanded comments because they have low self-esteem. Don't let them influence you! Others, may not realize that their comment may be insulting when percieved differently than they intended. Just keep your head up and and know you are doing for you. Congratulations on your progress so far!

I hear you! I was nearly 250 at my breaking point. I lost my dad unexpectedly at age 57. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I wasn't mentally ready to lose the weight. If someone had told me that I would have thought they were crazy. But they would have been right.I got scared, then I got mad. That led me to happier and…

I agree on the more energy after a workout. When I skip it I feel restless and out of sorts. I like to catch up on my favorite shows on Netflix while I'm on the elliptical. Gives me something to look forward to on top of the post workout glow!

I started as an overflowing 38DDD. After 70 lbs lost I am a 34DD. My sizes changed drastically around 50 lbs down. ( 3 sizes in 2 months) I highly recommend moving comfort sports bras.

Thank you for the support . . and a good chuckle!

Fantastic! If you are cold as often as I am these days, you will certainly need it. Stay warm in style!
