  • A good (short) workout that will straight-up murder you is: 30 seconds push-ups 30 seconds squat jumps 30 seconds tricep dips 30 seconds burpees (or star jumps) 30 seconds shoulder press 30 seconds rest Repeat 5 times.
  • My personal trainer advised that for the average gym goer you shouldn't do more than an hour at a time. Any more than that and you're at much greater risk of injury. If you want to do longer then he advised doing a few sessions a day. On the other hand, if you're stuck for time, anything is better than zero. And like…
  • Hi everyone! Add me if you like too! I like to keep my weight loss chat on my MFP feed and off my other social media so always looking for more friends!
  • I tried a Herbalife shake once and it was the worst thing I've ever done to my body. I was so unwell all day, it was like the worst food poisoning I'd ever had. It totally wrecked my system. Would run away from it like the plague.
  • This is all great advice! Thank you! I should probably add, my sandwich is absolutely PACKED with chicken and spinach! So I'm not neglecting nutrients there. I can definitely snack on fish/eggs/greens at home but at work? I need things I can keep on my desk/in my drawer, so most of those snacks aren't an option as they'd…
  • Hi! I'm 25, 5'6" Highest weight: 196 Current weight: 170 Goal weight: 155 So apparently I posted before and didn't realise! I'm going to take a look back through and see if I can find anyone! <3
  • Hey Lyndsey - do you have a specific lifting programme that you do?
  • I had to LOL at the Nike+ fitness app... when you go to create a program it's like 'why not add running to speed up your weight loss?' - bearing in mind I picked a beginner program - first day it tells me to run 5 miles. AYE OK HANG ON I'LL JUST GO NOT DO THAT.
  • Running can go die. I love the rowing machine, and I love yoga (even though I know that's technically not cardio but I do it to break a sweat).
  • That is totally solid advice! I'm loving it  I'll definitely try to do that. Are there any poses that you'd recommend for near beginners to try out first?
  • So I started today! I used to follow these videos when I was practicing a lot more often. This one is my go-to one. It's a 20 minute "morning yoga for weight loss" but it gets a good sweat going and the back bend at the end is something I really need to work on so I enjoy seeing my progress the more often I do it!…
  • Thanks 999tigger for the awesome advice! I'll maybe drop you a message since I'm unsure if you'll get a notification about my reply! I've checked and the concept 2 is a lot more expensive, it's £120 for the 8 weeks - or £65 for 4. I reckon I might go for the cheap one to start and then if I do use it I'd look at trying the…
  • I'm up for doing this as well! I love yoga but have recently fallen out of the habit. This will give me an excuse to get back into it!
  • Height: 5'6 Highest weight: 195 Current weight: 169 Goal weight: 150 My goal weight isn't my ultimate goal weight but I'd like to comfortably break into the 10s!
