  • My boyfriend and I used to get fast food breakfast ALL THE TIME, but recently I made a bunch of breakfast burritos and froze them. They were SUPER easy. They definitely still had some calories, but at least I knew exactly what went into them - a roll of sausage, 1/2 onion, 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 10 eggs, 10…
  • I was talking to a nutritionist at my gym about the frozen meals. She said that, while most of them aren't really great for you, Healthy Choice is a good option. I guess they use fresher ingredients, less sodium, etc. They are more expensive, so try to find them on sale and with a coupon!
  • I say stick to your glass of wine a night  The health benefits are proven. As long as you're measuring it out properly, you should be able to get an accurate calorie count and work it into your daily allotment. I allowed myself three yesterday :\ Probably a bit excessive for a Wednesday, but I love it and I only…
  • I'm also new to the message boards! I'll be your friend!
  • What a hurtful thing for him to say! You are a human being, and I think your reaction is normal. Your goal is a positive one regardless of what set you on this journey. I wish you a big loss and an even bigger middle finger

  • Thank you so much for your positive and uplifting response! This was exactly the kind of response that I needed - that will help keep me on the right track. You are right - I was satisfied with my lunch, and I'm glad I didn't give into a temptation that I'm going to have to deal with nearly every day.
  • That's good to know!
  • I have nothing against a nice lean burger - I'm trying to avoid chowing down on a 1200 calorie one in the heat of a craving :-)
  • That's tempting too :-D
  • I've made whole grain crust before and it turned out great :-) Try making mini think crust pizzas, enough to get your fix but control your portions.

  • Yes! I was thinking about this - if I can just hold off til dinner, I can plan it out properly without feeling guilty. I had a major cheat day on Monday, and Sunday is the Superbowl, so I really need to try and be good the next few days. I understand that I don't have to deprive myself, however over the years I've taken…
  • Thanks for the tips! I've been wanting to try calisthenics but wasn't sure where to begin!
  • I'm looking for friends too - I need a reason to want to log in as much as I do with Facebook :-)
  • Congratulations on your weight loss! I find myself often having the same problems as you. Food makes me happy, and I have a hard time sticking to a diet when I hate what I'm eating. Yesterday I cheated on my diet, but I made a behavioral change. For the first time ever, I made an honest log of my cheat day so I could see…
  • I love buying tuna steaks when they are on sale. I have a hard time eating healthy unless it's something that tastes great to me, and tuna steaks do. They are super quick and easy - try marinating them in orange juice, low sodium soy sauce, and garlic! I think they have around 25-30 grams of protein.

  • Haha this made me laugh! I'm starting over too. THIS will be the time it sticks for all of us, right?
  • Thanks! I think you hit the nail on the head :-)
