Hi Jeannette, I use a fitbit flex tracker that calculates the calories for you; I'm not sure how accurate this is as it depends on the intensity of the exercise being done but it certainly gives an indication of what you are burning (maybe one of the other members could provide additional info) I'm in it for weight loss (2…

I've just started using the flex and I'm finding it really easy to use and tend to forget I'm wearing it. I did have a zip but it only lasted a month or so before I managed to lose it...

I'm a similar build at 5'4" and 196 lbs and I've estimated an ideal weight goal of 161 lbs however noting the ideal weight of 115 - 145 I'm beginning to wonder if I've under estimated where I should be and rather than being about 30 lbs over weight I'm actually more like 70 lbs over weight....

For starters I'm planning to abstain from alcohol for a month and closely monitoring my calorie intake. I've also purchased a Fitbit tracker to monitor my activity; goals set at 10,000 steps a day as a starter as I don't want to over do it.... Currently exploring the site for additional ideas...
