I have had my fitbit flex for a couple of years and love it, but it breaks my wrist out. I was thinking of buying the fitbit clipon to use in it's place to use in my daily activities and use the flex for the pool. (When I get over my broken shoulder) Are they the same as far as recording steps?

Both devices will be pretty much the same in terms of their performance.

I have the fitbit zip and I like it just fine.

I've just started using the flex and I'm finding it really easy to use and tend to forget I'm wearing it. I did have a zip but it only lasted a month or so before I managed to lose it...

In my experience sometimes changing models can entail some differences in step counts. Plus if you want to switch devices it involves un-pairing and re-pairing the devices each time, unless you want to run separate accounts for each device. Plus a Flex won't track swimming but if you just want a rough 'step' count from something like water aerobics, it'll do that.

That said, I love the One. :)
