1200 cals is too extreme. Remember, you are just starting out. You are not used to eating healthy and practicing portion control. Start with a goal that's more realistic. I do that too. Most of the food i eat is repetition so it's nice to gave the info handy when it comes to logging. If i eat say, a cup of corn flake i scan the box, look at the result in MFT and if it's the same as what it says on the box, im good to go. I haven't measures myself since i started logging, 5 days ago. I plan to measuring this weekend after i get 2-3 additional workouts in. I just weighed myself this morning for kicks, just to see if there are improvements in my overall weight. I understand that the scale may take a bit more time to budge ;)

Yes, prior to logging, i was working out 4-5 times per week. (30 to 45 minutes of elliptical machine and 45 minutes of weights) i have been doing this over over 2 years.

Hi Guys, I have been logging since I made this post on sunday. I upped my cals to a little over 1600 just to start off, so far so good. Didn't go over my cals, not even once!!! so, 5 days ago. smothered being, I dip a kitchen brush in the pesto 2-3 times and I cover my chicken breast in it, you can very much see the chicken, it's not super thick, but safe to say, every inch of that breast has been brushed with pesto LOL. Then I top it with low fat mozz. cheese.

I understand!! im the same way, but i have been going at it for a month now, sticking to my diet and exercise. Always reward yourself. I like to go out for supper on the weekends and go see a movie. It keeps me sane. Dont give in to any excuses!

i have this problem as well. Drink lots and lots of water. When i get stressed out and feel the need to eat, i take a hot bubble bath. If i MUST eat something, i cave but try to portion control. You are welcome to add me.

Hi i am new to this, first week of diet and excercice. Worked out 3 times in a row, feeling tired but i am going on my lunch hour. Hoping this works, and works for good. Tired of being tired.
