I'm back! The App stopped working on my old phone (phone too old- no longer supported). So I now have a new phone and I am glad to be back with familiar faces (and all our new ones). You are all inspiring. Since I am starting this challenge late I hope to lose 5 lbs with my usual Sunday weigh ins. I have a lot of catching…

I have gained 1.9 lbs since last check in. Pastries have not been my friend. It is so much easier to stay in a good habit than it is to get back into it when we break our routine. The good news is the month is not over, I have already lost 19.8 lbs out of my 24 lbs challenge goal, and as @kwgrandma wrote I will “just try…

Checking in: Lost 90% of my Challenge goal! (21.7 lbs out of 24lbs) If I reach my Challenge goal, I will start a bonus round to see how close I can get to losing 30 lbs. Who knows - maybe I can lose 30 lbs before the end of March?

Checking in: I am right there with you @dbanks80 and @kwgrandma this week. The scale did not move at all for me. :( I have to thank @shnerb00 and @frankwbrown for your earlier advice as it helped me. I may not have seen the scale move, but I wore two pieces of clothing that hadn’t fit in a while this week, and it really…

I make myself tea, and drink it without sugar. The process of waiting while the water boils, and then waiting until it is cool enough to drink, helps me, while not adding calories to my day.

What I am doing differently this time #4 - This is something I took to heart after watching the MyFitnessPal “Ask the RD” videos with nutritionist Whitney English. I take each day as its own. I no longer allow calories to be balanced between 2 days, with too many calories one day being balanced by less the next. I found it…

What I am doing differently this time #3 - I started extending the amount of time I exercise. Our bodies start burning stored fat after 45 minutes of exercise. I have slowly worked up from exercising 30 minutes at a time to now exercising 1 hour at a time. Don’t get disheartened. One can only move forward from where they…

What I am doing differently this time #2 - When using MyFitnessPal I remember the “human error” factor. Error creeps in via what we input (was that really a flat teaspoon or a heaping one?) and what is in the system when we choose that food item (is the nutritional information correct?) or exercise (Did you really burn…

In appreciation to the many of you who have generously shared your wonderful ideas and approaches that have helped you lose weight, I wanted to share what I am doing differently this time that has helped me. I hope these ideas may help someone else. In order for this post not to be too wordy I will break this post into…

You can do it! Every success story you read had a starting weight. Take the first step of your success story. I regret not being brave enough to weigh myself when I started. Who knows how much weight I have really lost?

There are no dumb questions. I'm not Ruby, but each of us pick the day of the week that works best for us.

Checking in: Great news! I was able to lose the weight I gained over the holidays. I am officially back on track!

Checking in: It is always hard once a train jumps the rails to get it back on track. Therefore I was so happy to see a 2.3 lbs weight loss this week. Looking forward to working back to where I was 2 weeks ago and continuing on to my challenge goal.

Checking in: Sorry for the delay. Good news is always easier to share than bad news. It is always amazing to me how it can take so long to lose any weight but how quickly it returns. I had a few bad days this past week and put on 5.3 lbs. I know that I am still below (weight wise) what I started this challenge at but it is…

Personally, I find with certain foods that it is better not to bring it into my house (or only buy the individual serving size). You have to know yourself. If buying the "family size" _______ (fill in the blank) will lead you to temptation, don't do it. Start your new lifestyle/diet in the grocery aisle.

@lorrainequiche59 love your quotes and your definitely not alone.

@jan110144 don't worry about the cookies. I once read that as long as you stick to your weight loss plan 80% of the time, you will still lose weight. If you include them in your calorie count they won't even slow you down.
