  • Yes, I have had a couple bouts with costochondritis. I also have fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome. I usually try things like taking extra magnesium, hot bath with epsom salts, use heating pads when I can, rest as much as I can, herbal teas, ect. It can be very painful. I suggest staying away from any foods that…
  • drink more water. If I drink a liter when I wake up before eating I don't have any issues. If you add lemon to your water it works even better.
  • an influx of certain vitamins and minerals you were previously lacking can cause more vivid dreams. Like B12
  • Any Fibro fighters feel free to add me. I was diagnosed a few years ago but have had Fibro since I was a kid. I recommend the ketogenic diet. I have tried many different kinds of "diets" and this by far, is the best and easiest way I have found to lose weight and deal with some of the fibro symptoms. Like I said, feel free…
  • the official recipe for bullet proof coffee is 16 oz coffee, up to 2 tablespoons butter and up to 2 tablespoons coconut oil or MCT oil. you can find the recipe in The Bullet Proof Diet by Dave Asprey
  • mine came a week early but only lasted for 4 days instead of the usual 8 or 9 days. I also has less bleeding and minimal cramps.
  • Wow! You look amazing! I started at 277 and am down 26 pounds so far. My goal is to get down to around 125. It helps knowing that others have done it.
  • You look amazing! I just started on a ketogenic diet. I have lost 26 pounds so far and it has been amazingly easy. Great work, keep it up!
  • Hi! I am also doing a keto diet. It has been working wonders so far! I don't keep track of my food and calories but I have been losing weight almost every day since I started. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • yes, carrots, celery, onions and oxtail with some bone broth. So good!
  • Hi, I looked at just one day of your diary and I can tell you that you are eating way too many carbs, not enough calories and not enough fat. I recommend that you maybe check out a couple books on keto. I really liked The Bullet Proof Diet by Dave Asprey and Keto-Adapted by Maria Emmerich. They teach the science behind it…
  • Nothing major. Breakfast is usually bacon and eggs or a bullet proof coffee lunch is bone broth, a salad, lettuce sandwiches, or skipped and dinner is meat or seafood with veggies sometimes I add extra fat in there with coconut milk, coconut oil, cream cheese ect. I haven't exercised at all yet but plan on adding that in…
  • Thanks :) You will get there! I have so much more to lose so I know how hard it can be to stay motivated and to not just throw in the towel.
  • trust me, you will be fine. I agree that one meal does not a disaster make. when i started i was doing really good for about a week and then it was my anniversary and I kinda went to town on a pizza and soda and whatever else I seemed to think I needed to eat for the 3 days following my anniversary. I realized I needed to…
  • very true. the coconut oil with coconut smell/taste is unrefined coconut oil and the coconut oil with no smell or taste of coconuts is refined oil. MCT oil is medium chain triglycerides. It is usually produced from coconuts but also sometimes palm. Coconut Manna is coconut butter which is just coconut blended until it…
  • there are a couple types of MCT oil. I use both because coconut oil has some benefits that MCT doesn't like the amount of lauric acid. They are both beneficial.

  • I also have FM and I have CMP and various other conditions. Those of us with FM have a very difficult time with sleep in general. I know that the only thing that has helped me with sleep is starting to eat my carbs at night and taking magnesium(which I have been doing for years). I literally, feel your pain. A lot of us…
  • try eating your carbs in the evening. there is some science behind it. check out the book The Bullet Proof Diet by Dave Asprey. It make s a lot of sense why we should eat our carbs in the evening and why so many of us have sleeping issues when converting to keto.
  • it is actually science. there are lots of books and articles on it.
  • I don't own a kindle either. I downloaded the kindle version for PC. you can get it on Amazon. I don't think the coffee tastes bitter at all, but everyone's tastes bud are different.
  • your body needs some carbs to be healthy. where the cutoff for you is, I don't know and I think every person needs to research and experiment and find that out for yourself.
  • believe it or not when I went through the nausea "keto flu" phase I looked it up and they said to eat more fat. I thought was crazy but I felt so terrible that I gave it a shot and it made a big difference. I made a fat shake. full fat coconut milk from a can that had been chilling in the fridge for 24 hours, coconut…
  • Thanks! Bullet proof coffee is hot coffee plus a tablespoon or two of butter plus a tablespoon or two of coconut oil blended together. I do add some stevia to mine. Just a little though. Those books I mentioned you can get on amazon. the kindle version is cheaper.
  • i didn't save them. my husband and i were doing research re: his brother. if you type mental illness and/or schizophrenia and allergies i'm sure something will pull up. my husband also had gallbladder disease at a very early age due to allergies (this can also be looked up). People don't realize how many things that…
  • ok, so, I have been pre-diabetic for about 8 years or so . I am 5' 3" and I am 34 years old. I have a lot of weight to lose and here is what I am doing...ketogenic diet. it is so good for those of us with blood sugar issues. your diet would be made up of mostly fat, some protein and very little carbs. I don't really trust…
  • what may be happening is you are eating too much protein vs fat. too much protein can turn into glucose which cause weight gain or stall. I have been on keto for about a month and have lost 20 pounds. for the past week or two I have been losing almost a pound a day. Eating so much fat was hard to get used to but it is…
  • I would suggest getting a french press if you are opposed to getting a coffee machine. I don't think I could stomach putting that much fat into tea. By the way, even with tea you are supposed to put it in a blender with the fat and blend it. Not sure if you are doing that or not? I use organic coffee brewed strong, 1-2…
  • Good work! You look great!
  • it is basically a diet full of protein and carbs. i don't really recommend it. just watch the salt intake and when you do use salt use good salt like himalayan pink salt or celtic grey salt. it is healthier for you and the superior taste may just make you used less of it.
