I drink coffee with a generous amount of milk. Actually, I have some warm milk with a splash of coffee.

Soup is lovely. That is all.

I think @Bluwaves1 was simply suggesting that some mental health professionals may be more aware of or proactive about weight than others. I think that is a valid and valuable contribution to the tread. OP, I don't think there is a forum, per say, to meet the specific needs you mentioned. And if there was (and it was not…

I'm thinking that anyone advocating this diet is terribly ignorant about health, diet, and nutrition in general and probably ate far more fat and carbs than she realized.

Yes! Since you are female, expect your weight to fluctuate with hormones. You always get the the number you deserve. You don't always get the that number when you deserve it.

So, since none of us are the friends in question, or their doctors, it doesn't look like we can answer to your satisfaction. My son had a yeast infection as a baby in the GI tract. It was present as white spots in his mouth and a rash on his bottom. We used a cream on his skin (and mine, so I wouldn't give it back to him…

OP: women need body fat for normal healthy functioning. It you diet and reduce your fat stores further, you risk amenorrhea, which can hurt you bones, brain, and heart. You are underweight. There are risks to being underweight, just like there are for being overweight.

1. Consuming or choosing not to consume diet soda has no bearing on weight loss. 2. Posts that imply that certain foods are "bad" are generally not evidence based, and can make weight loss harder for those who think that they must give up all sorts of things they enjoy in order to lose weight and be healthy. 3. This is not…

Well, in order to absorb b vitamins (specifically b12), it must bind with gastric intrinsic factor in the stomach. The gastric motility of liquids is faster than for solids, which could theoretically cause less GIF to bind to b vitamins and lead to deficiency. Lots of things have been linked to vitamin b deficiency (ie tea…

I never said anything about "too much of a good thing." I think you imagined that. Rather, I suggested that by altering the form of the food, you make it harder for you body to absorb micronutrients, just like with multivitamins, which are largely excreted. Not absorbed.
-
Tried to find peer reviewed research on absorption of micronutrients from "juicing." Pretty much everything I found you have to pay to read. This summary of the issue seems legit: http://www.wired.com/2015/04/nobody-can-prove-cold-pressed-juice-better/

Ditto. I haven't had an episode in years, but I would recognize the symptoms immediately. They are hard to mistake.

I hate time lines for weight loss. I think they do more harm than good. Whether it's making tape or looking good in a wedding dress, I have seen so many people become so discouraged over time because of impossible time lines they ultimately just give up on any weight loss. I think the goal you proposed is likely not…

I have an acquaintance who went to a similar clinic (medifast) and lost a substantial amount of weight. She actually got a job there as a manager or coach of some sort. She has resigned to never eat solid food ever again. I think she's reasonably happy with things. I know she misses actually eating, but she likes being a…

But you don't need to eat all of those things in one sitting. And a huge benefit of eating veggies is the fiber, which you are removing. Is there any evidence that your body can absorb the vitamins and minerals in juice? Most multivitamins are nearly completely excreted. Your thoughts are not inherently bad, but sometimes…

If you aren't diabetic, you body can deal with fluxuations in sugar intake and you blood sugar will be within normal limits and probably not give aby helpful information. The more important thing to assess is caloric intake. Do you measure your liquids and weigh your solids on a food scale? Try it, you may find you are…

For many people who are truly deficient it is a huge help. However, there are a lot of testosterone centers out there without good practices or proper oversight. Best of luck.

You were successful and lost a substantial amount of weight before. What is different now?

Is this another MLM thing? I can't keep up with them all (not that that's a priority...)

Vitamin D is a safe bet. Things marketed to women specifically tend to be more expensive than gender neutral items or the same thing marketed towards men. (Pink tax) For that reason alone, I personally would avoid anything marketed directly to women.
-
Bingo. Take some ownership.

It scares me to hear women are being prescribed statins, regardless of cholesterol levels. I think that's where the "cholesterol doesn't matter for women" thing comes from.

About 1/3rd of people on neurotin have side effects and feel light headed, nauseated, and "out of it." For many people, those side effects can be interpreted as hunger and lead to weight gain.

I thought 120 seemed low too. I looked it up and it's about 20 on the BMI chart. With regard to time frame, once you get that close to your goal and within a healthy BMI, you might not want to continue with an aggressive goal. My personal goal is 1lb per month because I'm close to my goal and I am focusing on maintaining…

Probably gremlins.

I'm sorry if this sounds ignorant, but what is a "Mama'er"? This is a new term for me on the forums and I'm all confuzzled.

Another vote for old Navy. They have crazy sizes, like petite maternity workout clothes, for those of us under 5' who want things looser around the tummy

Have you read the stickies at the top of the forum? Picky eaters can lose weight. There are no manditory number of greens per meal. However, if you want to lose weight, you have to eat less than you burn. A food scale can be invaluable in calculating the "calories in" part of the equation.
