Glad to see this issue posted. It is so annoying that many of my Frequently used foods are ones I have eaten in over a year and that my Recent foods are all over the place.

I've had 2 c-sections, and the pooch is definitely there for good. Sorry, but aside from surgery there's no getting rid of it. If there is, I would love to hear it!

You heart rate determines which fuel your body will burn - by working out at intensity, your heart beats faster and you expend calories faster. Your body can't burn fat and keep up with that so it uses your limited glycogen stores instead. This is why the intensity can't be sustained once the glycogen stores deplete. By…

I have a recipe on my blog - I call them "preworkout" since I like to eat a couple before working out. They've got protein powder, flax, and are super tasty http://ericasrecipes.com/2013/04/preworkout-oatmeal-buttermilk-pancakes/

I am most certainly a drinker  beer, wine, or vodka with seltzer and lime when I'm trying to keep calories down

I'll have a little something (half a banana or a little sports drink) before a workout IF it is going to be longer than 30 minutes or if it's first thing in the morning. Otherwise, we've got plenty of fuel stored already. Post workout needs to include some protein because muscles are primed to take it up and speed…

I'm ~1500 baseline, but I'm a food blogger so I come up with new meals all the time. My diary is open if you'd like to add

Yes it is! Swimming shapes you like no other sport I've done. It improved my posture, developed my shoulders and back, and is great cardio. It is also amazing for the core and girdles you right up. Dont worry about how you look in a suit - just do it!

The preceding advice is perfect - do what you will stick with! I used to lift and hated it. Now I do mostly cardio and I am much more consistent. Ideally, we would get in both. But in reality, especially if you are starting out, find something you enjoy. No matter what you do though, start low and slow and build slowly.…

Great advice all around! I'm in the same boat - I'm a food blogger so I think about food ALL the time. I also have 2 kids, husband, yada-yada. I have to set boundries - I may let myself go somewhat on the weekends, but then I need to dial right back in and eat healthy during the week. Also, nothing can be forbidden -…

You can add me too! I am not new to the app but I am new to connecting with others through this site

could be a patellar tracking problem which can be fixed. I've dealt with this quite a bit, including surgery on both knees. I can hear my orthopedic surgeon in my head - he would tell you to wear a cho-pat knee strap or brace to help with tracking, strength train the muscles in your legs (tracking issues often start with…

You can add me too! After the birth of my son 4 years ago, I lost most the weight (SO much harder than after my first child 8 yrs earlier), but I can't seem to lose the last 8 damn it! So I'm hoping joining a couple MFP groups for support will help

I live in Florida, but I'm a triathlete. I've done sprints and olympic distances so far, and I've got my first half IM this coming Saturday. Once you do one, you'll be hooked! Good luck!
