Hello ladies! A quick intro- Im 49 turning 50 in January. While I had a year long "dry spell" from last year in September until the beginning of October this year (just a very light "one time" special appearance) I still would like to think its on its way out for good. Ive been to my doctor etc etc, and I also was…

Hello ladies! I came back to using MFP earlier this week. I am also fighting the pcos war and I wanted to share a website I found while doing some research on natural products to help get this thing under control. I have ordered a few things and I am happy with how I am now feeling. I know results dont happen overnight,…

Ive done that plenty of times, and Im still trying to "perfect" having setbacks, when the truth is.. they will ALWAYS pop up! My problem is I get angry with myself, and figure why bother.. when we know the right thing to do is move on. I know its hard, and its a complete piss off. I would guess just about everyone here has…

Well, being snowed in today is a good excuse to start exercising. Now, staying disciplined and making it part of a regular routine is what will be the true challenge. There are no secret methods or magic pills to make it happen. Its all on ME.

What burns me up the most is when I go strong for 2-3 weeks, then for some reason, I drop the ball. It could be a day or 2 without exercise because of "other plans", or a meal that wasnt so great. A slip here and there.. and I bomb. I cant do this anymore! I have to learn to put myself first when it comes to staying on…

Id love to follow along with the group- trying hard to stay motivated and drop 30lbs. Turning 48 (gasp!) next Monday.. High school reunion this summer, plus 3 weddings to attend! Time to snap into shape.

Ive tried the same diet.. FAIL. And yes, not healthy. But, leave it in the past. Ive also used the Isagenix program. While I did lose 10 lbs, I feel that substituting "real" food for shakes, bars, and limited choices are not going to keep me interested long enough. Ive decided this time its back to good old lower calorie…

Well, if it helps to have a friend on here to "check in" with or even follow progress, Id be happy to have you along. Im just getting back into using MFP, I tried a few other diets including Isagenix, which I did lose 10 lbs or so, but I find that my body responds better to simple foods, more exercise. Im in my 40's so my…

Hello mom39~ Im 47! Just turned in January. Do I feel it? Nope. Im here to lose 30lbs. Ive come to realize its not going to budge without exercise. Starving gets you nowhere. Ive started to use videos on Youtube and im loving it. Cardio for beginners, low impact, walking.. its all good and helping me get into the swing. I…

Thanks for the replies. And to try to answer some of the questions - I am drinking water through the day and would say I get at least 40oz. Pre planning my meals is so so. I usually go with say, one of 3 staples for breakfast, pack my lunch but not always, so those days I order out but im smart about it. Etc. Its usually a…

Understandable, Cityruss.. and I WANT to grab something to eat, but I have it in my mind to save the calories and push thru til dinner. Today it was 4 triscuts with 4 pieces of cheese. It helped, a lot. But in the back of my mind I was thinking "now you have to burn it". Sure I exercised. Im liking the MFP way of keeping…

20 down, 20 to go on day 6. Feeling a difference while doing the squats as far as muscles "waking up" a bit easier, holding my form stronger.
