I'm 5'6.5" and 149lbs. I've been eating from 1300-1400 calories a day but today more like 1584 and yesterday I had 1800 cause there was free pizza in front of me :(

Sigh...definitely motivation to hit the gym! I eat between 1300-1500 a day usually...I don't work out all the time though.

I'm in the same exact boat! 5'6.5" Cw:149 Gw: 135 I am getting married in July and would like to get down to my goal weight by May/June! Ive been at it for a little over a week...started at 150 and have lost one pound so far...this takes foooorrrreeeevvveerrrr lol

You are pretty petite so if you feel ok eating that much I'm sure it's fine. The 1200 calorie thing came from studying someone in a coma? How big was this person? Was it a male or female? How old were they? Everyone is different, and I honestly don't think 1200 calorie rule applies to everyone.

I'm pretty sure it's physiologically impossible to gain or retain weight if you are eating at a calorie defecit...maybe at first but eventually it will give in and start metabolising itself for energy.

I don't weigh or measure fresh vegetables -just estimate. I don't want to ever restrict my vegetable intake and eat as much of them as I want. With fruit I am more careful but never weigh stuff. I'm 5'6.5" and my goal weight is 135. I've always been around 140-142lbs but gained weight after stopped birth control a couple of months ago (went up to 150lbs). The lowest I've ever been was 137 and I looked really good...but I had to work reeeeally hard to get down to that. Once I reach 140 my goal weight may change…

I really like paleo in that it promotes clean eating by cutting cutting out processed foods. I think that's something everyone can benefit from. Some of the details like avoiding beans and rice...are goofy in my opinion. Also...almonds are ok but peanuts aren't? This is goofy.

Woah according to the scoobyworkshop I need to eat 1900 calories a day to lose weight...that's kind of crazy?? I've been eating way less than that but I don't ever feel super hungry or dizzy or anything.

Eat a TON of veggies! If I'm feeling really hungry I'll have a HUGE salad (like 3cups of romaine) with my meal and it fills me up.

Hey at least your pants fit! I gained so much weight over the holidays that I can't even button my pants :( I've never had to be constantly tracking before but my metabolism must be slowing down or something. Looks like I'll have to be mindful of what I eat all the time from now on if I want to keep from gaining...sigh :(

I think investing in really nice Tupperware is key! I always bring my lunch to work along with my water bottle to stay hydrated. I don't let myself eat anything else until I get home. Saves me tons of money! I like making big batches of soup and stews on Sundays.

Im in the same boat as you. Right now I have a goal to go to the gym twice a week since I know that's all I will realistically achieve. I tried going in the morning before work but I end up being so exhausted..it didn't really work well for me. I might start doing some YouTube Pilates before bed, that's a good idea!
