Lol. The fitbit site had my height at 9'4" instead of 6'4". That may make a difference.

Focus on the process, for its own sake, rather than the result. I am eating better and exercising because it is healthy. Weight loss is just a side effect. Also, try to find an exercise activity you enjoy, that you actually look forward to, rather than just the hamster wheel. Those gains (so much further or faster than…

You need to make your husband understand that this is important to you, and he needs to help you make it happen. Do you have any family in the area who can frequently babysit? A friend who also has children? Perhaps you could make a deal. You watch hers while she does whatever she does, then she watches yours while you go…

I haven't been drunk in about ten years. My sister is getting married in a few months, and I'm planning on getting fairly drunk. Fortunately, drinking as little as I do (and hopefully weighing 50lbs less by then) I'll be a very cheap date!

The only reason I open fitbit is to synch.

I thought about the surge, mainly for the text notifications, but then I saw one. I figured wearing a buick on my wrist world create some sort of a Strength imbalance, so I passed.

No. When I want to eat a big high calorie meal, I try to "pay for it in advance" by a combination of eating really light the rest of that day, and extra exercise. I know me. An untracked day will quickly go off the rails back to lazy town.

I just switched to golds. I wanted some group classes and yoga, and golds had a good deal.

I've had trouble with syncing the last day or so. It gets there eventually though.

Accurate enough I think.

I have ibs too, and I have gone from several urgent liquid bm's a day to a more regular solid schedule. So far, an unanticipated benefit.

Keep in mind your supposed to wear it a fingers width above the wristbone (3 when exercising). That being the case, a large is a good call.

I burn a few calories laughing hysterically at the commercial...

See, I've been fat my whole life. I avoided physical activity like the plague. That is kind of what I'm excited about... Figuring out what my sport is. I'm kind of trying everything right now... Yoga, running, lifting, kickboxing. Definately want an outdoor component, like hiking or trail running. Should be fun to find out!

I love the Lipton diet citrus green tea. Is that actually green tea, or just green tea flavored chemical mess?

Seltzer + flavor Add mio to Seltzer, or fruit juice, whatever you fancy.

Good to know. Thanks.

How are running socks better / different from regular socks?
-
I just took the advice of the forum and got fitted for running shoes. Best money I've ever spent. They are SO much more comfortable than the shoes I had before. Id advise you to cheap out on the clothes and go big on the shoes.

I'm doing a warrior dash in October. Looks like so much fun!

No. You either hit the button or tap it to see the time.

It isn't waterproof. It is water resistant. They claim you can shower in it. I don't.

I also have the hr. I love it. It records my calories burned from running. And the competative aspect with my friends is great.

I just got fitted for my very first pair of running shoes. They put me in some saucony. I am amazed at how much difference it makes! It is so much more comfortable to run in these. I would take them back to the store and explain the problem. I get the impression that the running shoe business is ultra competitive, and they…

I love mine. I Compete with my friends, and walk more just to beat them. If you want to track workouts, get the hr model.
-
Thanks. I'll check it out!
-
I just wear my fitbit charge hr and let it do its thing. Put it on exercise mode.

I want to go to the les mills body combat class at my gym. I just don't know if I'm ready to keep up yet.
