  • I have a protein shake before I run in the morning. It's only about 8 oz because I can't eat more than that before a run. I make my shakes with protein powder, soy milk, and cold coffee - the protein and caffeine seem to help a lot.

  • My scale is gets lower/higher based on the direction I'm leaning when I stand on it... If I carefully place my feet in the same way and lean the same direction every time, it will get the same #. My parent's scale is the same way, I think it's just because they're cheaply made.

  • Try almond milk or soy milk. It's lower calorie and many varieties come pre-sweetened.

  • I'm a big fan of dark chocolate almonds... They're not chocolate coated like candy... More like dusted in cocoa powder. Very chocolate-y but not so sweet that they trigger more sugar cravings.

  • Try syncing your fitbit with the fitbit app, then reload mfp... Usually works for me when the sync is getting sluggish
