Enjoy every bite... it's your daddys birthday! Don't look back and regret not celebrating with him... one day he'll be gone. Pay no attention to any negs :)

My mom still does this with me (she's 81, I'm 59 and with her often). Would I ever say "F.U.C.K. you" to her? NOT! Have a serious sit down talk, explain how you are feeling and ASK for their support. If they can't or won't build yourself a network from somewhere else. MFP members are alwsys here for backup. GOOD LUCK!

Wow! Surrounded by enemies LOL Its okay, show some restraint if you can, and if you mess up remember tomorrow is another day! Who's in charge... you or the cookie?! :)

Wondering if this is my problem too. Diagnosed and put on meds about 2.5 months ago. Got back on MFP about the same time. Careful with calorie goals and logging, but no weight loss yet. Getting really aggravated...

I've been so bummed after 2 months and no weight lost. A whole year, wow! What I do know is that regardless of pounds lost or not, I am eating healthier, more conscious of what I eat and much more knowledgeable. Stick with it and maybe revise your plan. Good Luck!

Just have to share: Tonight my sweet hubby came home from work and proceeded to make me a healthy delicious salad for dinner! Really thoughtful & sweet, right? THEN HE SAT DOWN AND ATE AN ENTIRE POT OF MAC & CHEESE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I want to drop 10 - 15 lbs (he is diabetic and NEEDS to lose 50!) uuughhh!

Don't want to exercise? I HEAR YOU! :) I want to "want to" but I just don't. I used to love power walking around my block a few times every morning. Head phones on... good for mental and physical. But now I just can't get started again. I think about it everyday hoping one day I'll just put my shoes on and go. Until then I…

OMG Yes! Been plugged in faithfully for 2 months this time around. Been so discouraged...really no lbs lost! I track like a fanatic and think about everything I eat. At 1000 cal (or alittle less /more) everyday to compensate for not seriously working out regularly. Maybe it's my age or new meds for hypothyroidism... so…

Left a post re: Over 50 Club. I'm one too, friend me if you'd like. Easier journey with friends :)

Hi ladies turning 59 next month. This weight loss / getting in shape stuff is so much harder now! Sometimes I get so bummed...been tracking faithfully for 2 months (after going off the grid last year) and NO lbs lost! Getting so aggravated... but not quitting! Lets check in & lean on eachother :)

No I never wrote it down but I certainly remember it! At 1st I was really pumped...yea! In 5 weeks I can reach my first goal! So I have been at it faithfully for about 6 weeks and haven't even lost 1 pound! (Yo-yoing doesn't count) I'm sticking with it anyway, maybe someday it will pay off. Just not so easy anymore, always…

Have both of these in my playlist too. Also like Overcomer by Mandisa and Proud from old Queer as folk series.

PATRIOTS! My hubby is from NE so this will be a happy house if they win another super bowl.

Been waiting for this! Looked at my "name" one day and thought not a real good choice...but I did it because one of our dogs (Bella) was diagnosed with a melanoma tumor in her butt ! Shes had surgery & radiation treatments. Everyday I say " I love my Bella butt" to her. We have 3 rescues, hence Bellabutt3 :)

Yep I love it! Shes a beautiful girl full of positive spirit. It hurts to be judged...she works hard to get past that and she can really dance! My favorite though is her mom...what a trip she is :)

Turning 59 this spring. Made up my mind to "celebrate" who I am and what I can accomplish instead of being bummed. My ultimate goal is 20 lbs, but plan to set small goals of 5 or 10 to start. Good luck everyone!

I know exactly what you mean "mindless eating" and "bored/lonely". My husband is workaholic and even travels out of town regularly. Lately I have grabbed my phone and played solitare while watchimg tv. Keeps my hands & mind busy. After a couple games I reward myself occassionally with a cup of sliced strawberries. Little…

Hi MFP friend, Boy our story's are quite similar! although I will be 59 this spring. I really get the head & heart part too. Want to impress my Dr too, last year she called me "obese" after I put on 10 lbs. (I'm 5' 8" and currently 159 lbs). I'd be thrilled to lose 10 but my ultimate goal is 140 lbs. Its DEFINITELY harder…

Stick with it! The more you use/snoop through the app the more stuff you 'll discover. I found the more I use it, the more naturally aware I become about calories and nutrition. Good Luck!
