  • Disagree to an extent. Yes, pharmacists would be able to help you tremendously with many prescription and OTC medications. BUT, the OP's doctor knows the health history and entire picture of the OP, pharmacists aren't able to put that entire picture together when giving advice about a particular medication. And, doctors…
  • Ok, thanks guys! It made sense to subtract the core, but I wasn't sure. It probably wouldn't hurt me to count the weight of the core either! Ha.
  • Please be careful with caffeine since you have anxiety. Too much caffeine sends my anxiety over the edge. I would contact your doctor before you take any OTC supplement, its just a wise thing to do. If your doctor isn't returning your call, you need to hire a new one.
  • The almond milk i drink has calcium in it.
  • Fruity green tea with a little unsweetened vanilla almond milk help my afternoon cravings, but I don't drink it after 3pm otherwise I can't sleep at night. I have issues eating in the evening as well, but I'm sure mine is from complete boredom as well as habit of eating in front of the TV. I allow myself two, 60calorie…
  • Wow! you look amazing! Nice work towards reaching your goals!
  • Good job! I love the feeling when you finish a long run!
  • Hi Ashlee, I have had hypothyroidism for 9 years, and PCOS for 3 years. I am not a doctor, but will tell you what has worked personally for me. I would not suggest cutting out an entire food group during your journey (I have done this and failed numerous times). With that said, I do think the best thing you can do is…
  • I can understand why the therapist might find this a problem "IF" leahmarg has an anxiety disorder because caffeine can really influence the onset as well as the level of anxiety a person has if they have a disorder (just speaking from my personal experience). If they do not have an anxiety disorder, I don't see what the…
  • I had this same problem one week, didnt loose a damn thing. I had started walk/running every day, and started some strength training. I think I was holding onto water weight bc all of a sudden 1.8 pounds fell off. Also, I bought a digital scale, and holy crap was I ever underestimating my fruit among other things. I highly…
  • I love this! So true, once you decide to do something for yourself, and not anyone else, any goal is within reach! In the short month I have been on here, I have found what a great support system MFP is. Keep it up, and even if you have a setback, forgive yourself (we are all human) and start fresh the next day!
  • I'm sure you wouldn't let anyone else talk to you the way you are talking to yourself. I see a very handsome man in both of your pictures. I think we all tend to focus on the little flaws we have in ourselves, but really, look at yourself, you have great features. Start telling yourself positive things you see in yourself,…
  • Congratulations on quitting smoking! I quit cold turkey a little over 3 years ago, and had been a pack a day smoker for 10 years. I maybe gained 3 or so pounds when I quit, but it was worth every pound to never smoke again. Your weight may be slowed down for many reasons, including stressing about not loosing the weight.…
  • I have known I've had PCOS for about 3 1/2 years now, it all started with my periods stopping. I also have hypothyroidism for the past 9 years. My doc put me on Metformin and my periods became more regular, and I lost about 20 pounds and have steadily stayed around 210 for the past few years (I swear the metformin shed the…
  • On average I drink 4 liters of water per day, more if I am active. Unless you have kidney disease, I wouldn't worry about drinking too much water. Just don't drink gallons when you aren't thirsty. If you have dry mouth from medications, have you tried sucking on sugar free candies or chewing gum instead of guzzling water?…
  • I need to hear things like this. Tough love.
  • I quit cold turkey 3 years and 2 months ago. I felt like utter crap for the first 3 days, almost like I was in a dream world that was foggy. Once the nicotine is out of your system (3 days) its all willpower. Day 30, I almost gave in and had an internal battle with myself, and by day 31, I was completely over smoking and…
