rice, bread, potato's (diabetic and these are very bad foods for me... sky rockets my blood sugars even in small amounts that aren't even worth eating)

can you open your food diary so we can see what kinds of foods your eating and how much in carbs/protein etc. If your not getting much in protein, that too will make you tired/weak feeling.
-
Are you doing low carb? If so, it is almost impossible to do low carb with low fat and high protein. You will see, low carbers are high fat and high protein. LCHF (low carb/high fat)

I eat pretty much all kinds of nuts. I eat a serving usually every single day. My favorite is the Blue diamond lightly salted roasted almonds. (only 40 sodium a serving). The bad of eating nuts is the sodium in my book, so I try to get light or no salt nuts. sometimes it is baking nuts (no salt). Right now, I have the…

Calories (we all get this one), then Carbs, fiber and protein (need for being diabetic), then sodium (trying to keep it under wraps) and potassium (due to being super low in past and had prescription potassium to take).

too high or too low of potassium can effect the heart. It is important to get enough, but don't go over board. I track my potassium (was low on blood tests a few years ago and my doctor put me on prescription potassium). I now track it. I was getting between 500 to 700 mg's a day, now I try to get 3500 to 4700 a day. My…

Maybe there is extra protein in the shell.. LOL @ crunchy

Question of the day???? So is it not annoying to be over weight? I would think that would be worse than taking the few extra minutes to weigh everything.

The egg calories/nutrition label is on the egg carton, usually on the back/ ends or inside the lid of the egg carton.

I have an open food diary for those that want to take a peek. (been sick yesterday and today, so my diary is a little off)

I am diabetic and I do not need to read this research. I have done trial and error on my own body and if I add too much in carbs, my sugars get way way too high. Some diabetic's can eat more, others need less. I do good with 80-100. Some diabetic's can eat apples, others can't, etc. Diabetes is an individual disease. Foods…

I was introduced to this sandwich when I was in my later 20's, and yumm is all I can say. They taste so good. The pickle cuts the stickyness of the peanut butter and the flavors just blend so good together. I still eat them to this day. For peeps who go oooouuuuueee yuck. I say, don't knock it till you try it !!

Ok, I am not a young whiper snapper, so if I said ... Guess what? me and my boyfriend are going up to the mountains to be bad...... So does that mean I shouldn't do what we intend to do at the mountains because it is "BAD" Or do you get what I mean by saying that? Well that is no different than what the OP said, she knows…

I feel this is the OP's choice. Yes she is doomed, but is it a good doom in her eyes? or a bad doom in her eyes? The op may just want to fall face first into that cake, popcorn, and pancakes and enjoy this weekend to it's fullest with her loved ones and it will be an occasion she will never forget. Memories. Or she may not…

Liver, liver, liver and oh.... did I mention LIVER.. hate the stuff, can not even be in the house when it is cooking. If I see someone eating it at a resturant, I just cringe, how can they eat that nasty nasty stuff.. yuck. Was made to eat it at as a child. I would cut it up in the smallest, itty bitty pieces and stick one…

Well for me, I am diabetic and can not eat rice at all (raises my sugar up too much). I am not fond of cooked cauliflower but I do use it like rice. I am not sure if it fools the brain into thinking you are eating rice or if it is the sauces/juices that coats all the tiny rice size pieces that mask the cauliflower flavor.…

Your food diary is not open... to open it, click food tab, then click settings (way over to the right at top), then scroll down and change diary settings to public for us all to see it. Thanks

I take glyburide. It works different than metformin. Metformin works over time to it's max potential (3 weeks I believe). Glyburide, will asap lower your glucose levels. It works in the range of time taken to 8-12 hrs. I use to feel like you when I was first diagnosed and my sugar dropped from 265-300 range to 100 -150…

^^^^ This.... You didn't mention how long ago you were diagnosed or how long you have been on medicine. But when a person (diabetic), first starts to lower their blood sugars it will make you sick feeling even if the blood sugars are in normal or high range. Your body is so use to working under high blood sugar that it…

When I was in 4th grade a kid got up ran to the teachers desk and said I think I am going to.... and out it came all over her desk and down the side facing us students. It had the condensity and look of Thousand Island dressing (that pinkish dressing). To this day I can not look at, smell and never taste that dressing. Big…

90 % of the time, I log it before (usually the day before), I do sometimes change a meal off and on, but usually it stays as I put it. I do the same as the above poster too. I sometimes will log my breakfast as I sit at the computer and then fill in the rest of the day in the morning (if I didn't have time to do it the…

I like puting Cajun seasoning on my chicken and fish. I will some times use Mrs. dash garlic and herb or Mrs Dash lemon pepper (Mrs dash's are all sodium free)

Moved from Michigan to Tennessee and I miss Aunt Millie bread ... always was so soft and great flavor

Yuppers, I use it all the time and I try to weigh most in grams. Some meats in oz too.

I am a LCHF eater and it is for life. I am diabetic. I do not do so low as to go keto, but my carbs are usually between 59 to 89 most days (this is not net carbs either.. to get net you subtract your fiber from the carbs). So it is low carb. What I notice is some do all the meat/cheese type low carb diets. I don't. I eat a…
