Losing weight is 80% diet, 20% exercise so start there and make sure you're eating right. There are a ton of great workout DVD's out there and sites online where you can work out at home. Make sure you're modifying exercises that involving jumping if you have iffy knees - don't let your feet leave the floor. And yes,…

That sounds like a good start - and more importantly, sustainable! Extreme dieting = bad. Making better eating choices = good! And as you start meeting those goals, then you can look at expanding your exercise.

I work at a University and I'm often surrounded by tight bodied 20-somethings at our Rec Center. There's no magic way to improve self esteem, just go out and do your thing! Like others have said, it's more in your head than anything else! I can guarantee most people aren't pay you any attention.

Also work on finding something that helps you de-stress that doesn't involve food! Meditation, stretching, yoga, walks, etc... and if you have to eat, make it something that isn't fast food. Veggies and healthy dips...

Loved it - was totally the program that got me back on track!

Yup 500 extra calories for nursing moms is the standard...

Hi there! You're just over 4 weeks postpartum, so make sure you're taking care of yourself first! A lot of the weight will come off naturally as the swelling goes down and your uterus goes to its normal size. Unless you were a big workout fiend before getting pregnant, I'd take it easy until you get the all clear from your…

I just posted about this today. I'm almost a year in and I feel amazing. At my goal weight and loving working out and eating right! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!

Would love to participate! Got a 2 year old and a 6 year old and work 40+ hours a week! I'm actually probably done with weight loss (hit my goal weight recently after almost a year), but I'm Group X certified - hoping to start teaching this summer - and LOVE working out. So I'm happy to help in any way!
-
I've got an open diary as well - feel free to add me!

I do a lot of body weight/resistance training and BodyPump (weights). I'd say Google some body weight routines and start there - add weights if you want more definition.
-
You don't need a ton of different weights - since you're just starting out get some 2 and 5 lbs - you can also do body weight training. Nothing like push ups to build upper body - also tricep dips, tricep push ups, shoulder push ups... etc. Weighted jump ropes are good....

Let's see - this is probably my closest one to that time frame. Now mind you - this is my start photo, when I started T25 from day one. I'm bad at progress report pics! :) My profile pic is my most recent and I'm doing Max:30 among other things right now. I never did Gamma exclusively. -

Oh boy - well first off, there's no easy way to say x will happen in y amount of time. It took me 10 months to get the stomach I wanted and I only wanted to lose 5-10 pounds as well. I do a combo of things - PiYo, HIIT, BodyBeast, etc. Every day it's something new more or less. My biggest gains have easily come from really…

I can always handle a few more friends! Feel free to add me!

I finished Gamma in January and did the pure Gamma and not the hybrid because I was doing other circuit/cardio workouts during the week. Still love pulling it out when I feel like I'm not lifting enough. I'd say do the hybrid if you need that extra cardio, or if you feel pure Gamma is a bit too tough at that point.

*claps* Great post! Do what works for you! As long as you aren't harming yourself, I could care less what people choose to spend their money on! Some people think it's worth it, some don't... try it for yourself and then decide!

Here's the breakdown of the shake I had for breakfast this morning - I use shakes because they're quick and I hate breakfast. Calories: 232 Protein: 25 g Carbs: 32 g Fat: 1 g Saturated Fat: < 1 g Calories from Fat: 10

IMO these challenges are in addition to whatever you're doing for exercise daily. They shouldn't be the only thing you do.

Talk it over with your friend (the coach), but FYI TurboFire is part of the new BeachBody On Demand feature, along with about 10 other workouts. Might be a good fit for you! :)

While I'm not doing it myself, I have several friends that are and really enjoy it and are seeing good results. Yes, folks at day 22 you start over if you want, or move on to something else. It's the name of the program. Sheesh. Some people enjoy a structured approach to eating/working out, or want more guidance. Nothing…

Whoa. Slow down, deep breaths. Half a pound a week is actually really good and sustainable. If you want to try to up it to a pound a week, adjust your MFP settings and see what it says regarding calories. You don't mention any exercise? You have to stop comparing yourself to everyone else. I tone up/gain muscle very…

Finished it through Gamma phase. It's what got me back into exercise and basically changed my life! :)
-
Easily my biggest struggle - when I'm busy I have to remember to eat! I'm trying to just drink water when those moods strike!
-
I've finished the program through Gamma - feel free to friend me for questions/accountability, etc.
-
Yup! Now, is it worth it? Guess it depends. I do a different kind of work out just about every day, so for me, yes it's worth it. I love the variety and the sneak peaks at the new stuff. Feel free to friend me with any additional questions.

Oh boy - don't get me started! I LOVE TRX. Kind of hard to explain vs. demonstration. I love using it with plank moves, the core work is insane. It's also great to use for balance with jumping lunges. This should give you a good start!…

I found this on the Beachbody Message boards: I did the cardio fix yesterday while wearing my Polar HR monitor. it said I did 335 cals. (I think my HR monitor is set at 155 lbs, 5'6" female). Hopefully that helps. I had to slow down on a couple exercises too....couldn't keep up the crazy pace!! my HR was 159 average, with…

I just come up with a new goal for myself. I hit my first goal of lose 10 lbs - so I've added lose 5 more and then I'm at my goal weight. I'm trying new workouts - adding weight to the ones I already do. Just find new ways to challenge yourself! I'm also hoping to start teaching soon, so that will be fun!
