Overtime is leaving me so sluggish. I'm not built for 5 am wake ups. Also, pretty sure I'm going to need to get back on antidepressants. They give me the munchies though so I need to figure out how to balance that.

A 50k sounds rough. Hope you meant a 5k haha. I'd love to get into lfiting. I really want like a month of personal training to get me comfortable with the different types of lifts and proper form.

7 lbs is a great start but hating yourself does not do you any good. Your body does not define you. Good luck.

I'm going to ditto everyone else that suggested a running store. It can be pricey but worth it.
-
I also need to lose about 30 more lbs. I've already lost 35. Currently 170 and I'm 5'7"
-
I'm 5'7" and currently 170. Started around 205. Ultimate goal is 140 but I'd be happy around 150.

Take progress pictures. I find them to be really helpful when I can't see the day to day changes
-
It takes quite a while to notice the results especially for others to see it. I suggest taking progress pictures. They really helped me see the changes that were happening when I couldn't see it in the mirror.

Left is today and right is about a year and a half ago. Difference of 30 lbs and I'm hoping to lose about 30 more lbs.
-
Feel free to add me. I'm 26, 5'7 and started at 205. Currently down to 175 and hoping to get around 140 or 145.

I still don't eat my veggies and I'm losing weight. I'm also probably losing out on important vitamins and such but eating vegetables isn't necessary to lose weight.

Don't eat the leftovers. You are not a garbage disposal. I know it feels wasteful so if possible save it for lunch or something the next day. Get your kids involved in your activities. I run while my daughter is at piano practice so on our way to and from practice she asks to run there and back too. The other day I did a…

Hi. I'm 26, 5'7", married, mom of 2 kids plus 2 dogs. Started at 205, down to 175 now. Looking to get around 140. Anyone can feel free to add me.

Glad you are back. Feel free to add me. I'm semi active. Just got out of a month long slump but I finally am getting back into it.
-
I prefer women too. Just feel more comfortable with women and like I can relate more to the journey. Anyone is free to add me if they would like
-
You look great. I'm also really motivated by taking progress pics and looking at others progress pics on the success board and tumblr

Water water water and...more water. Also allow room in your diet for foods you enjoy because life is too short to not enjoy the occasional treat.

5'7" female SW 205 and very tight 14s and some 16s CW 176 and just getting into some 10s

I worked out! First time in a few weeks so that's a plus.
-
Losing fast probably means you are using unhealthy practices to lose weight which aren't sustainable in the long run making it more likely for you to give up. My patience is zilch as well for this type of stuff so I try to look at there immediate effects of working out and eating better such as more energy and clearer skin.

I've lost almost 30 lbs and have been doing horribly these past 2 to 3 weeks. Today was a good day so I'm hoping it's the beginning of getting back into good habits. I think sometimes motivation just ebbs and flows and that's ok. Maybe focus on what got you started in the first place.
-
You just have to make it habit. To be honest, I'm not the best at working out regularly but I've lost 30 lbs so far by focusing on reducing my caloric intake. You can do it. Just focus on your diet and get to the gym when you can.
-
Whatever you like. Or nothing if you aren't hungry. I don't force myself to eat just because I have left over calories.
-
I tend to do that with my weight. I go two weeks with little to no loss then drop like 2 lbs the next week. I think it's just how my body loses it.
-
I started around 205 but it was around the 20 lb mark that most people started commenting about it.
-
I'm doing nothing. I feel like shiat and there is no way I'm further punishing myself by exercising. I did only eat like 700 calories yesterday though since I had no appetite.
-
I do. I like to know either way
-
I say yes! Those have by far been the most motivating thing for me. Its hard for me to see the changes in the mirror but the side by sides make it quite obvious
