I ended up with plantar warts that were extremely painful and took me a year and a half to clear up. It made being active hard for me so i stopped exercising. Then i was under a lot of stress due to work issues and my go to stress reliever is drinking Pepsi. So no exercise + large amounts of pop with a sprinkle of…

1. What was your starting weight and height? 205 and 5'7" 2. What is your current weight/goal weight? Currently between 160 and 163. Goal around 140. 3. How long did it take you to reach your goal? Not there yet but I started January 2016. Have not made much progress since Thanksgiving time though. 4. Did you feel…

Left was about 15 to 20 lbs down from my heaviest. Right was today down 45 lbs. I did it mostly through a calorie deficit. Occasionally running or random YouTube workouts.
-
About 3 lbs away from a healthy BMI and 8 lbs away from my high school weight.

I'm on my second week of Stronglifts and have about 20 more lbs I would like to lose. I eat at maintenance on the days I lift and a slight deficit on my rest days. I also do a day or two of light cardio on days I don't lift. I have no clue if I'm doing it "right" but it's working for me so far. I'm really loving the…

I was really intimidated too. I was lucky and the first few times I went the free weight area has been fairly empty. One of the times there were these two guys there and I watches how they did their squats and found it super helpful though.

December 2016 vs January 2016

Day 3 of stronglifts at 5 am on New Years Day. Needless to say, I was the only one in the gym haha

I don't like when people try to get into an in depth discussion about it with me but I'm not too bothered by random "wow, you look great" type comments. The only exception is with my mom. But she mentions it every single time she sees me and it's mostly stemming from jealousy and we have a very negative history in regards…

I lost the bulk of my weight (about 40 lbs) with minimal exercise. I tended to lose faster when I was exercising buy it wasn't necessary for me to lose weight.

I just started a week ago and honestly I feel like a total bad@$& even with an empty bar. I can't even do one overhead press with an empty bar but I'm still amazing for pushing past my comfort zone and trying. I was honestly terrified of going and being judged by others because I'm sure my form sucks on some things and…

Seems counter productive. I also don't really ever look at other people's diaries. I really have no clue if my friends are eating clean or junk food.
-
Feel free to add me. Anyone can. I'm fairly active and a lot of the people I started the year out with are no longer active either.
-
Happy new year to you as well!
-
Planning to get up at 5 am to work out on the first day of the new year. That is as long as I can convince my kid that she doesn't really want to stay up til midnight to watch the ball drop.
-
No. I lost 40 with 0 supplements. I am trying to decide if I should add in some protein supplement now that I'm lifting though
-
I'm not very motivating right now cause I'm in a rut but I've lost 40 lbs so far. Hoping to lose around 20-25 more. Anyone can feel free to add me

5'7" starting at 205. Currently at 165. Have been doing really poorly these last 3 or 4 months. But I just started the stronglifts program last week so I really look forward to see what changes 2017 will bring me. Goal is around 140 I think.
-
Sporadically after about 10 lbs, most comments after 20 lbs.
-
Stop exercising I guess.
-
Lose fat, build muscle. Lost about 40 lbs this year but have really fell off the wagon these last 3+ months so I really want to get everything back under control
-
Good luck. I'm kind of disappointed with the gym I got a membership to. They kind of just said hello then left me to figure stuff out on my own. (My husband got it for me as a gift so I didn't get to talk with them at all before joining.) The first day I went I only did cardio stuff cause I was really intimidated to go…

I need to get back in track too. Starting the stronglifts program at the gym. Not sure what I want to do with my calories yet though
-
I use MFP , stronglifts app to track my lifts, and map my run when it's warm enough to run outside
-
Chalk it up to an off day and recommit to doing better. One or two days won't make or break your weight loss. Just don't let it become a regular occurrence .
-
Screw the haters. I've run outside at over 200 lbs and never encountered any harassment even when I could barely run more than 30 seconds at a time. There is nothing shameful about bettering yourself .
-
I have 2 girls ages 7 and 4. I haven't been as active on here as in the past but I need to get back to it. Feel free to add me
-
Started at 215, currently around 163. Goal is somewhere around 140-150. I don't have a hard and fast number in mind but have definitely been in a slump with this last little bit. Feel free to add if you would like
-
I do this. I know it's akin to sacrilege on MFP to say you don't measure and weigh everything but I've had success without it. I've lost 40 lbs over the last year. I tend to pick higher calories for things though and probably overestimate. I will also say that as a lower weight now I think my margin of error is much…

Know that weightloss doesn't happen in a week just like gaining didn't happen in one week. You need to give your body longer to show any sort of results
