I agree homesweeths- if you do make your own mixes or use nut flours I find most of the "flours" for making "bread" don't have an adequate shelf life. With that in mind I keep my coconut/almond (and arrowroot powder every now and then) in the freezer. Nut flours go rancid really fast so keeping them in your freezer extends…

You can definitely make the jump to 10k- you'd be surprised what the rush of the crowd, cheering, running with others and what not can motivate you to do :) Besides, it's only 1 day. I bet you can add an extra 5k one time, for one run!

This may sound nuts but why not winter running?
