I've pretty much got my macros and cals sorted but must admit I may take advantage of this bulk a little to much . Food is one if my great pleasures ! I completely agree about lifting with good form , you see so many people in the gym loading up the bar but their form and ROM is terrible .

Good luck with the weight loss. I hope you get the results you want and manage to keep as much muscle as possible. P.s big thighs are a winner in my book!
-
You'd be surprised I have a small frame! 5 6" 116lb . What's your workout like?

These snacks are bang on it now !

Yeah I think planks would be good to slip into my routine. I have tried roll outs but find I get lower back pain which makes me stop before my abs feel it .
-
Thanks for your advice. It's good to try new things stops the boredom setting in. Just started bulking at the moment so my abs prob won't be popping for a while but good to get a strong core .

Mmm havnt had peanut butter in a while I'll put them both on my shopping list. Iv just posted on my news feed how bored I am with my abs workout , wondered what routine you have ? can't see to clearly from the tiny pic but your abs look pretty good .
-
Sounds good to me I'd be happy with a gain like that. At the mo I'm on 2200 cal 50% carb 30% pro 20% fat , I weigh 115lb .
-
What sort of ratio are you working on ? Mine is carb 50% pro 30% fat 20%

I'm going to give it a couple more wks ( 10 in total) and switch to reverse pyramid . Iv enjoyed the routine but want to go for heavy lifts first now.
-
I agree .Going to start new routine in 2 wks with good bulk
-
You need to be in surplus esp when you train , as you would have burnt extra cals and need to feed your muscles. I try to keep my snacks light but fairly high in cals so not to fill me up to much for my nxt meal. Try to eat 6 meals a day so you don't end up having just 2-3 heavy meals which take longer to digest . P/Shakes…

Yeah switched from 4-6 rep range to pyramid 12 rep down to 4 - 4 sets . Helped with ROM and good execution but not really with strength gains
-
Think iv got to really bulk and stick with it for a while hopefully strength will increase , thanks
-
It's been said I'm impatient and it's true! Just want to make sure I use my time in the gym wisely , thanks for your reply
-
Going to give it a good shot and hopefully my strength will increase
-
I agree , must admit I don't like it when my abs disappear but that's what cutting is for I suppose . I need to give a proper bulk a good shot.
-
I've been following mike matthews bls and its worked a treat but struggling to lift heavier now without my posture or full range of motion suffering. Switched to pyramid training to see if that helped , prob has with regards to proper execution of excercises but not with weight.
-
I eat pretty clean , I think I just need make sure I stick to the extra cals and really push myself in my workouts. Think I need to find myself a training partner to bounce off .
-
Iv been training in the 4-6 rep range for hypertrophy - 3 sets for most exercises which has allowed me to gain muscle and size but seemed to plateau at around 35 wks. Switched to pyramid training to see if that helped break the lull but has ended up with my final weight on set 4 being less than my programm before. My goal…
