Muscle soreness is inevitable when you start using your muscles in a new or more intense way. Make sure to stretch quads, hamstrings, inner & outer thighs, and calves after a run. My goal set the beginning of January was to go from 155 to 145. Halfway through, I'm not quite halfway there (151). I guess 10lb in a month was pretty ambitious, but I'm still trying. Goal is 135 by end of May. I'm 53, but that's not really an excuse, right?!
