I only get DOMS after a lifting break. My legs and upper body no longer get soar after lifting unless I go up in weight. Are you new to lifting? Maybe your body just needs to adjust. On leg days, I walk before & sometimes after. I don’t run so that I don’t strain. I run on my upper body days.

I remember feeling extra hungry when I started lifting vs just cardio but I think my body just adjusted. I’m also short, 5”2 like you. I agree on the recomp. You are already at low weight so you can recomp. I don’t think eating at maintenance would interfere with your goal. I think it will actually help.

So happy to have the pool open

I also use fat free creamer. 10 calories per tablespoon.

I just noticed something with Pacer. You can select how active you are & it will show you the active calories from Apple Watch and NEAT I guess. I didn’t gym it today but had a bit over 8,000 steps. Apple Watch has my TDEE at 1743 and it’s almost 11:30pm.
-
I used to just do cardio then hired a coach & started lifting. Best decision ever!

@brittneyalley I got new ones and love it lol! I was itty bitty before and now I’m proportionate. Wish I had done it sooner.

I went back and re read my post. I had a typo when talking about the sync and the calories matching. I wrote move but meant to say TDEE. I’m only calling the exercise calories move calories, the 726.

I don’t use MFP on my watch. I use the app on my phone. It’s only needed on the watch if I wanted to plan meals using the app on the watch. It’s too small and not easy like the app. If I were to track a workout, run, walk, weights, I would have two adjustments. Pacer will show my move calories up to that time as an…

I went back at looked at a few more days. Sometimes the sync bn Pacer and Watch is at 10 something Pm, then Pacer calories will be what it was at that time. If the sync is closer to midnight, it almost is exactly the same as move calories. But in the end, my adjustment will be my entire move calories. For me it doesn’t…

She will need to use Pacer. MFP and Apple Watch don’t integrate. The total move calories will be the adjustment in MFP.

With Apple Watch, you don’t need MFP app on the actual watch for things to work. Only if you want to use the watch to enter data into the app. I took two screenshots from Sunday since it was an active day. I have MFP set to not very active since my entire move calories come over to MFP as an adjustment. You’ll see that my…

Mine only shows move calories according to Apple Watch.

My calories in Pacer match my move calories in Apple Watch. I didn’t workout today and didn’t log a workout. Just from steps. If you log a workout in Apple Watch then sync via Pacer, you get two adjustments. One from Pacer, one from Apple Health. I delete the Apple Health bc it’s a double entry. Your “move calories” on the…

I have to also hit sync. It’s not automatic. I usually will sync post workout early am, then again at night.

You’ll need a 3rd party app like Pacer bc MFP & AW don’t integrate well. Download the free version of Pacer. Link Pacer to MFP and Apple Health. In MFP, select Pacer for steps. Once you log an activity in your Apple Watch, open Pacer and sync. In MFP, you will see 2 adjustments, one from Pacer, one from Apple Health.…

I would say yes, take 2 rest days. I do cardio and lift five days a week. When I try to do 6 days I get very burnt out. We are similar heights/weight. I’m 5”2 and 120. I try to maintain a 118 but I keep bouncing back up. Rest and recovery is important.

I had Fitbit and switched to Apple Watch and love the watch.

Girl I’m so proud of you and happy that you reached your goal! You have always had drops on the scale tho after some pizza and wine lol! Totally jelly of that. He knows how important this was to you & he will understand that it won’t be a nightly thing. Enjoy your date nights and drinks here and there. You’ll be fine. Hugs.

@katiew78 Pacer helps transmit the data from Apple Watch to MFP since the two don’t integrate well. Not sure what you mean by how many calories Pacer gave you. I’m using Pacer and my “move calories” are my adjustment in MFP. I have my activity level in MFP set to “not very active” & my TDEE in MFP and AW are roughy the…

I looked it back up on my Amazon order. It’s just PB Fit, not PB2. Total different company. It has an orange label.

Apple Watch has a calibrate feature. Maybe try to calibrate and see if that changes things for you.

I switched from Fitbit to Apple Watch in March. Apple Watch & MFP don’t integrate well. I had a lot of issues with the data showing up correctly and someone here suggested that I download Pacer, and connect it to MFP & Apple Health. After that, the data transferred over well. I have spreadsheets that go back a few years, I…

I’m 5”2 and I have an Apple Watch as well. During quarantine I was running 4 miles almost daily outside. Now with the July heat and gyms back open, I’m running on the treadmill. My watch underestimates my miles on a treadmill. The treadmill will say three miles, but I actually will go to 3.15, for my watch to clock in the…

Greet yogurt, liquid egg whites, PB Fit (order on Amazon), edamame, quinoa, some breads like Ezekiel bread are high in protein and fiber. Trader Joe’s also has low carb, high protein tortillas they have 4 grams of fiber per serving.

Greek yogurt Quinoa Liquid egg white Edamame If you like PB2, there is PB2 Fit. It has 8 grams of protein and I think the taste is better than PB2. You can get a huge jar for $12 on Amazon.
