I can wrap my towel around me, and it overlaps over my stomach! 2 months ago, my tummy was too big to fit under the towel.

I'll have to look it up! I haven't ventured in the challenge part of the forum yet!

Oh yes, my diet is appalling. I'm trying to stop eating so many sweet and processed foods, but they've been such a big part of my diet, I almost forgot what healthy alternatives I could have.

July is here. 3 weeks before my holiday, would love to lose some weight before then. I'm seeing friends who've never seen me this big, so that's another motivation. It's really hot where I live at the moment, so hopefully drinking lots of water will help suppress my appetite. The problem is I'm always reverting back to my…

Thanks so much! Very inspiring. Hopefully I can follow your example!

As I don't exercise at the moment, I think the bmi is probably rather accurate for me. I understand it gets skewed if you exercise a lot, but unfortunately that's not the situation I'm in at the moment.

Thanks all. A month gone, and although I've drastically cut alcohol intake, my snacking is still completely out of hand. I do like the idea of sticking to maintenance first then cutting back from there. It should feel a lot more manageable.
-
Thanks! Yes, I'm upping my calories to around 1500 as it's still a substantial deficit compared to what I've been eating recently. And I need to cut down on sugary snacks and alcohol.

Yes, I think prelogging will help. I really need to start meal planning properly and most importantly stop snacking. This last year or so I've been eating all day long and that needs to stop!
-
Thanks! I'll have to see if I can find that documentary. I can see how easy it is to put on the weight, so getting it off again shouldn't be rocket science. I guess I always tried to do it too quickly and was setting myself to fail. Maybe I should try a smaller goal first to get used to logging food, instead of realising…

Thanks! I'm really hoping this is the wake up call I need!
-
Haha, maybe! I'm planning on doing it for myself, but thought it might be fun to try it this way. I know a month isn't very long but it should be enough to start a better habit.

Thanks! Yes I'm not expecting too much of a difference, but maybe enough to change our routine, for when he comes back. I'm going to try to avoid buying snacky foods to start with, and I'll need to find a different way to spend my evenings! I saw a program where the couples separated to lose weight, with help from…

Well done!!

@waynetaylor_co_uk I was skinny until my 20s, but it's only recently that I remembered that I used to feel hungry a lot more than these days (because I keep eating so never really have time to feel hungry) so I need to remember that feeling, and that it's ok too (although not so hungry that it affect day to day life, just…

@waynetaylor_co_uk I would probably log better too! I tend to log my breakfast then forget about it, and by the evening I'll have eaten far too much again!
-
@waynetaylor_co_uk thanks! I'm female, 30, and CW is 75kg You're right about the sugar and biscuit issues! Yesterday I had a caramel wafer (which would have been fine) and then had 3 more - so ate 500 more calories than needed and for no nutrition whatsoever! I feel my main meals are healthy-ish, although still don't hit…

@middlehaitch and your comment about left and right made me laugh, as I'm finally learning how to drive and every time the instructor tells me to turn left or right I have to really concentrate to go the right way!!
-
@jessef593 Thanks will check those out. I am trying to work on my core more as my back is often in pain, and most of my extra weight is around my tummy. Even when I was skinny my tummy was never flat! @middlehaitch I'd never thought of belly dancing! Haven't seen any advertised, so might start at home while I keep my eyes…

Thanks! Will try both!

To get in a healthy bmi, then to be under 70kg. Goal weight is 60kg, but I really want to learn abs exercises, as even when I was skinny (10 years ago) I never managed abs!!

Love the idea of the bells! Thank you all for your suggestions! I've also started an adult colouring book, can't say how much it's helping yet, but at least it keeps me occupied :-) Will keep practising not eating for the sake of eating...

I've managed to wear it all day! Massive surprise!
-
Thank you for the tips! Will keep an eye out on the pain and if it subsides I'll see what part of the foot usually hits the floor. Can't say I've noticed it before!
-
I use the NHS one from change4life.
-
@freeoscar congrats!! I can't wait for that!
-
It wasn't a goal dress at the time, I managed to wear it once but was very tight! I did get rid of most of the clothes that no longer fitted me, but kept that one. I didn't think I was going to head the other way weight wise, or I would have bought the bigger size :-)

Congrats!!

:) whoop whoop!

Thanks :-) @bronkeekong yes KGS, sorry I don't know how to work lbs!
