  • I'll have to check that out. Just finished When Calls the Heart on Netflix. I enjoyed it.
  • I'm up for a new challenge. My exercise has fallen off. Still too snowy to ride outside much. One of my horses has not been well the last few weeks...Getting better though.
  • @showjumper Looking good girl!
  • I watched Harry and the Snowman last night. What a great movie! It's on Netflix now. Missed it at the theatre.
  • @crimsongrey That sounds like a blast! Glad you are enjoying your time down south. @tmcoyle I've seen that too. I feel like riding outside the arena is vital for a horses mental health just like turnout time.
  • I'd count that as a victory ride. He's trusting you.
  • @losergood2011 Welcome. Thanks for sharing pictures of your boys. Cowboy dressage and trails sounds awesome. I'm planning on developing my gelding on the trails more this year in addition to arena work. I'll look forward to your posts.
  • @jcraig10 Great scores and improvement. You must be delighted.
  • He's cute. Looks like fun!
  • @crimsongrey Yeah! 76 degrees must be heaven!
  • Well, I think this concludes the 6 week challenge. Although I wasn't riding it motivated me to exercise in prep for spring riding. Now that I'm on a roll I plan to keep going. It was great meeting new horse loving MFP people! I hope we can do another challenge in the springtime.

  • @crimsongrey Ahhh, at last. Let the adventure begin.
  • @jcraig10 Best of luck at your show! @showjumper Sorry to hear about your dilemma but it sounds like you have it sorted out. Just be yourself and ignore the rest that doesn't serve you. You're awesome! @ luckypony71 I've already been dreaming about the perfect pony for my granddaughter. I have another stall available. We…
  • Great ride stories. A treat since I'm not able to ride right now with all the snow. @luckypony71 Congratulations on your new grandchild. Maybe a little riding partner one day. I have been saving a kids saddle for my granddaughter. She's 7 months old. Lol
  • @crimsongrey Thanks for leading this challenge. I know I did better for having made a commitment and being part of a community. It has been great to meet other equestrians and hear what they are doing to meet their goals. I'm going to finish strong the 6 th week with 3 yoga workouts in prep for spring riding. ( Snow was up…

  • Those are great!
  • I recommend a book called Lose Weight Without Dieting by David Nordmark. It's about retraining the mind and developing some positive patterns with eating and exercise. It was a great help to me.
  • Summing up week 5. I didn't meet my workout goal of 3 yoga session, just did two. But, clocked a lot of steps at work and burned some calories cleaning stalls and carrying water. My diet was better than last week. It's supposed to warm up this coming week so maybe get some walks or snowshoeing in.

  • I like to eat while reading or studying and gained weight while going to school online. It's mindless impulse eating. I ran across a book that helped sort this out the around the same time I started MFP logging. The book is called Lose Weight Without Dieting by David Nordmark and focuses on training the mind. One of the…
  • Sounds like a great plan. I'm inspired. That's a great point that setbacks are an opportunity to reevaluate and move forward.

  • Happy New Year everyone!!
  • Week 4 has been pretty good. I need to refocus on healthy eating and reduce the sweets.
  • I've been thinking about resolutions and here's what I came up with for 2017. 1. Be grateful each day. Journal and meditation. 2. Develop Legend and Kozi further with a goal of at least 3 rides a week. I was given a Jane Savoie dressage training program for Christmas! 3. Develop my watercolor painting skills further…
