I eat in a Keto manner, the LOW carbs has managed to get me off three T2D meds to the surprise of my doctor. I started IF August 2021 with my first meal at noon and dinner by 6:00 pm. This combination has helped me lose over 50 lbs with only 20 more to my goal. I am at the lowest weight I have been in over 35 years (will…

Great going! I'm eating Keto and using IF also and have found that the combination works the best for me. Keep up the good work!

Not so much a loss of pounds, but the change in my diet did it. After 20 years with pre-diabetes and diabetes, I felt horrible all the time. I went very low carb and just quit processed foods, period. The 'more energy' showed up in a couple of weeks and is still here! The pounds are coming off slowly, but thirty pounds…

I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes 20 years ago and T2D 12 years ago. I too was given advice each time, that in retrospect did nothing but set me up for a lifetime (shortened) of increasing meds and a pre-determined outcome (not a good one). I got tired of meds that made me ill (no details here, but the side effects were…

I'm in west Texas. 63 years and 55 pounds down. I'm taking it slow this time and have had more success than any other time I've attempted weight loss. Friend me if you want to.

Welcome to a great site. I am 63, have lost 50+ lbs. since Oct. and have 48 more to go. My advice is to find what works for you, be patient and don't get discouraged if loss slows down, which it most likely will occasionally. Just keep at it and you will succeed.

Fantastic! You've done great!

Hmmm, salty crisps! I would imagine it's just water weight. Not a disaster by any means, give it a couple of days of your new normal habits.

I weigh twice every day, morning and bedtime. I can usually anticipate 1.5-2 lbs less each morning than the night before, unless I went over on sodium the previous day, then it can be 2.5-3 lbs over.

What a wonderful transformation! You are such an inspiration to people of all ages!

Sorry for your loss. Glad you're back.

Get them involved at home with you, even though it's not worked well thus far. Try something like Leslie Sansome's Walk At Home videos, you can make it fun for them.

Had to buy new pants for a job interview, went to local store and when the saleslady asked if she could help and I explained what I was looking for she took me to the 'regular' side of the store, Not the plus side!

Hi Mariluce. You've made a wise choice to use MFP, in my opinion. I consider myself relatively new also, I've been on MFP seriously since Oct. and I've lost 42 pounds. I had tried innumerable fad diets through the years, including three rounds of WW (though it's not really a fad diet). My mother told me years ago that it…

My Australian Shepherd has the energy of his breed (a LOT!). I am motivated to walk him because it really makes him happy and in a mellow mood for the rest of the day! The fresh air does the same for me too!
