  • Sometimes I have my grand daughter so much I am back in the mom phase and find it hard to give myself the time I need. I know if I don't take care of me I can't take care of her but she does need me. My energy is not what it used to be.

  • Ok , after reading this board I can see that my exercise needs to go up!!! You ladies are all so active and weight lifting. I have been biking and walking and eating 1200 cals a day but in 40 days have lost 6 lbs. Im 59 and have been pretty sedate so any suggestions for a video thats easy on the knees??   • I also try to do extra exercise so mentally it helps me let it go. By tracking I usually do less damage . Then I chalk it up to that happens , think long term , and start over. That's what new days are for after all to learn from our mistakes and move on.
  • Well I started 3 days ago doing 1230 cal and plan to walk no less than 1 mile per day and today I walked 2.2 miles. I have to say I must have lost some water weight my joints feel good and I am down 3 lbs from my lowest weight.!   • I am going to turn 60 this year . I'm starting today and need to lose 50 lbs! I can't believe I let it get this far . I need motivation if you want to add me. I'm at 1210 cals a day and we will see how it goes. I'm not very active walking only 1 mile and a few weight lift exercises.

  • Hi Karen ! I am in Wisco too and just turned 59. I feel the same for the first time I feel ok just sitting. I don't like to walk in the cold but do force myself to go but I have my treadmill right in my dinning room now . I am struggling started eat to live feel better but need activity. Seems every day I start over.
