  • Just prep your house with food and protien drinks. Also you need someone to drive you home so you might as well have them pick up your medication .
  • Chewable is the way to go especially with rny. Costco and sams club have chewable gummie vitamins and calcium chews.
  • Good job :)
  • Yes. When you turn on your side your insides shift around tugging on all those sensitive sirgica sites. I personally could not sleep on my side till about 10 ish days out but I had a host of complications that made side sleeping more painful.
  • I get stalls every few weeks. Just keep doing the program and your body will respond.
  • Northern cal here... Had to buy flip flops. Haha. Joking. I do turn the AC On in the car though ;)
  • I have told my close friends and family. But most of them I told the night before surgery... Lol Got a lot of heat from that one...haha. Especially since I had gall bladder complications and stayed in the hospital for 9 days. I told my co workers I was having my gall bladder out and "other gi stuff done". I just did not…
  • Maybe ask your doctor about this...maybe the top of the sleeve is to tight at the top. I could barely get done full liquids at first but he assured me it would loosen and now I am fine. Did you have a Hiatial hernia fixed as well? Maybe the sphincter is to tight at the stomach opening. Keep us posted.
  • Even post op my head still tries to run my stomach... Dang head hunger... My brain still remembers all the years of habits. TV and the movies is a big one for me . For a treat I brought flavored almonds to the movie the other day.
  • I would love to see my video just out of curiosity (I am a nurse ) but I had a significant complication so I am sure he would say no... And I would hate for him to think I was making a case against him or something.
  • What is this protein enhanced pasta you speak of? Also does the scoop of protein powder make coffee taste bad?
  • I am just glad it is probably not a permanent after effect of my surgery/ bike leak/ pancreatitis . I was afraid it was fibromyalgia caused by body stress. Fingers crossed it is just the Meds.
  • Thanks for checking on me Bugged53 After this post the bad pain stopped but I still have moderate pain and restless legs and arms. I talked to my GI doc (happen to have an appointment) he had no clue what the pain /restlessness was. He was kinda an *kitten* about it. I have a call out to my bariatric surgen. I had another…
  • Thought I should mention... I did not have this pain before surgery ... Only came about a couple days ago.
  • The pain was a little better today . I see a GI doc tomorrow for my pancreatitis... Maybe I will ask him. I am so tired and still in pain that I don't walk a lot but it is getting better. I do notice when I am up and about more is when the pain hurts to worst when I finally relax.
  • I am 3.5 weeks post op from the sleeve. My clothes are baggy but not enough to switch down a size. But I did buy a 2x jacket (previous size 4x) in high hopes to wear it soon :) I was going to take 4weeks off because I am a nurse in a fast paced high volume floor. But I had complications so now I will be out 8 weeks.
  • Bugged53 hopefully once you get more substance in you it will change. Remember to drink protien like clear zero carb isopure protien drink. I had the skeeve 3.5 weeks ago. I sometimes feel a little hungry but not like before . My brain wants to eat like it used to but the stomach says no way. Good luck to you
  • Hmmmm that is a tough one . Maybe call the md before then and ask. You need a complex carb but we all are staying away from them. Try eating fruit .
  • I can't imagine going back to work at the 3 weeks ... I would die I think. Sometimes I go 10 hrs without a break. :(
  • Just start again tomorrow . When I was on my 2week prep that happened to me a couple times. You got this.
  • Thanks. I have just been trying to rest as much as possible. My doctor extended my leave to 8 weeks since I am a nurse on a fast heavy floor. He said besides my normal post op fatigue the inflammation inside me uses a lot of my energy. He said give it time .
  • My journey has been hard. Had my gall bladder removed also and had a bile leak and pancreatitis. Hospitalized for 9 days. Luckily the sleeve part was a success .
  • Just had my sleeve surgery 2 weeks ago.
  • I had the sleeve 2 weeks ago. Good job on your weight loss!!! I have heard you will go through a few weeks of plateau at a time every now and then but if you just keep at it your body finally cooperates . Just keep doing what you do and maybe try staying off the scale for a bit. Or change up your excersize . Good luck
  • I just had the gastric sleeve 2 weeks ago. Good luck!!!
