I love my Fitbit Charge HR. I work in a job that varies from mind numbingly boring to extremely physically active(think doing CPR, running to codes, etc.). I'm a numbers person so it motivates me when I'm having a lazy day to get up and go for a walk. I like all the features on it, even the sleep one.

Good luck! The first step is realizing the negative patterns that got you here. I was eating way more than I needed too. The first week was the hardest for me; almost like 'resetting' my brain and what hunger really meant.
-
I second the thought that you may be holding your breathe without realizing it. Rule out high blood pressure or other cardiac issues too.
-
I've read recommendations to wear it on a non dominant hand but set the charge HR to say you are wearing it on your dominant hand. This may fix some of your accuracy issues. I love the HR feature on my Charge so I would hate to have to wear it in my pocket and not have the HR feature utilized!

Nope. My food scale was purchased on Amazon too though. It does: grams, fluid ounces, ounces/pounds, and ml. Love it but definitely a shocker the first time I weighed my tortilla chips!

I weigh myself 3-4 times a week, in the morning.

Wasabi Almonds. So good!

If it continues you should have your thyroid checked. If you have high blood pressure or a BMI above 30 or are told by your husband that you snore loudly, you may need to talk to your doctor about a sleep study.

I currently work days but when I used to pick up night shifts (6:30p-7a) I would get so nauseated by 4-5am! And to stay awake on nights, junk food definitely abounds; or massive amounts of caffeine. Good luck to you OP. Try to get adequate sleep and be protective of your sleep health!

How do you feel? Do you feel bloated? IF you feel good, it might not be a problem only going 2/week. I've found the healthier I eat the less I need to go too! Maybe it's also because I'm eating less overall. Plus, all that fat was pretty much moving things RIGHT along. Haha.

I have started using this app and then failed so many times! I don't know why this time is different; I really wish I could pinpoint it. I guess I finally got to the point that I was obese and my doctor was honest with me! What a slap in the face that realization was! It's almost like being an alcoholic, take it one day at…

I'm 5'7'', heaviest at 207 (Nov 2014), right now at 192. When I was in the mid 190s I comfortably wore a size 14 jeans. At my heaviest I was in denial and should have bought some size 16s! High school graduation in 2007 I weighted 145 and wore a size 6-8 jeans. I thought I was so fat(ugh). Ideally I would like to be…

I really believed all the 'you will adjust' advice was BS until I actually started cutting down my sweets. Now really sugar stuff just makes me feel ill. I still plan to have sweets most days, I just prefer to have Dove chocolates that come individually wrapped. Just a few of those really satisfies me and it's only about…

My fitbit and MFP are synced together so everything I enter on MFP syncs to my fitbit app.
-
There's a way to change the fitbit step length that counts your steps. It's somewhere in the app if she uses that to sync. I have the Charge HR and find it very accurate; even when my arms aren't moving. I definitely don't take what my fitbit says as gospel, more of a healthy estimate. Typically around 10,000-11,000 steps…

My boyfriends family does an Easter celebration with everyone. His mother insists on giving all of her adult children Easter baskets. This means I'll have a basket full of chocolate! I'm hoping this year she only gives me a few things. I'll just enjoy it slowly over a few weeks and/or freeze some for later.

I loved belonging to the YMCA as a college student! But now as a single adult, it is very expensive in my area. We have a planet fitness that is about the a third of the price of the Y. But how I do miss the awesome yoga classes at the Y!

There seems to be common thread...Healthcare workers (myself included!) need to take care of themselves! Do you work 12 hour shifts or 8 hour shifts? I could see if you work 8 hour shifts getting a larger, more protein dense breakfast in before your shift that could sustain you longer. If I know I will have an especially…

I had PF in addition to a badly sprained ankle and bursitis. I did almost ten weeks of 2-3x a week physical therapy. Besides the stationary bike, we did a ton of things that really helped. It wasn't all 'just stretching' either. How badly does just walking hurt? Can you use an OTC pain medication for the pain? What about…

Nothing is bad in moderation! Can you drink just plain water? If you absolutely have to have crystal light to drink water, then there might be a problem. Our taste buds become accustomed to the sugary things very easily. I would routinely purchase premade iced raspberry tea at work. It was tasty! Then I realized it had…

Great job! I bet you feel better too!

I have the Charge HR fitbit and I love it. It definitely isn't for everyone. Basically, you get out what you're willing to put into it. For me, it opened my eyes to how few steps I would take on days off from work and how little I was taking the stairs. It has encouraged me to be more active but not everyone responds that…

I log almost everything, even 'no' calorie items such as pickles, gum, etc. While a calorie deficit is my first priority, I want to do so while maintaining a healthy sodium intake and proper vitamin intake. Therefore, I count it all.
-
After only losing ten pounds I realized how much easier bounding up a flight of stairs became! Prior to weight loss I was huffing and puffing up a single flight!
-
I purchased the Charge HR almost three weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I did a ton of research and was hesitant to purchase something so expensive. My work days can be very active and so far it has done a decent job of recording my HR. If I hadn't bought the Charge HR I would have purchased the regular Charge since it…

Ken's Lite Poppyseed is my go to. I like a lot of othed Ken's dressing but the creamy ones can get calorie heavy. As a bonus I can usually find it on sale.
