Found 2 bones in my forearms, must be losing from top down!0

I just started, but this threat is truly inspiring. Small changes often have the most impact.
I am hoping to lose the thigh chafing and be able to cross legs comfortably (thin people won't believe that it is not comfortable for me because my thighs are so big. O.o).
But I'm a bit worried about the feeling cold. I am already cold ALL the time unless it is 25°C or more For me it's winter from October to May...
Keep up the great answers, so far this is the best motivation I found on here!0 -
Started using a new belt this week, ran out of notches on the other one.0

I just started my new lifestyle change..lots of things to look forward to..2

Ok, here's a weird one. I thought I had been genetically blessed and missed out on the big family nose. Nope! My face was just fat and it looked smaller in comparison. Now that I have a thinner face, my nose is just as big as the rest of my siblings' noses. Ha ha!6

No more horrible side flank pains and knees hurting. Looking at a mirror and thinking, u are damn hot girl. . Oh not dressing up so hurriedly b4 hubby works into room, now I take my time, what is the rush hahahahahahaha0
-
I can't sleep on my side without a pillow in between my legs now, because it hurts my knee bones. Oh, and I have hip bones and collar bones!1

In part, thanks to some of the wonderful and open individuals on MFP, I am a little less terrified of criticism....so long as it is an honest critique. Thanks again.3

LOL ... hysterical. I bet it's a lovely nose. xo0 -
I feel like I am buying new clothes all the time. I need new black dress pants now for work, I find a lot of my dress shirts are getting too baggy. I actually want to wear things that fit and show off my figure. Before I didn't want people to see my body. I wanted to be invisible. Now I don't mind anymore.1

This thread is so inspiring!
I only changed my lifestyle about a month ago now, but the BIG shock was what a difference daily cardiovascular exercise has made. I have generally been a healthy person for most of my life, but I've never really enjoyed cardiovascular exercise. I was always a walker, and before I had a surgery that sidelined me for the last six months I was a serious yogi, but I was never someone who enjoyed running or cross training.
I have been totally sedentary for months now and was starting to get really depressed with no energy, and then we bought a nordic track. I started out using it 10 minutes twice a day with no resistance, and have worked up to using it for 50 minutes almost every day, along with re-starting my yoga practice and adding weights to my regimen and it has made all the difference with my depression (and my yoga practice, which is ENTIRELY different in fascinating ways now, even if I am a far way away from my previous level of ability in my physical practice).
I have definitely lost weight and I eat so much better it's ridiculous and my clothes fit better (although I'm not at my old weight just yet, which can be frustrating even though I know it's totally normal given how long I was sedentary and comfort cooking), and that is great, but the #1 reason that I am so committed to this is the difference in the way I feel. I was never a huge cardio fan, but I am now addicted just because of how WONDERFUL an hour on that dang machine makes me feel (greatly improved breathing capacity and cardiovascular health don't suck either).2 -
Today I went through some stuff I had stacked in my closet, separating potential consignment clothing from things going to charity shops.
It was the weirdest thing: a pair of pants that I clearly remember looked very small when I got them from my daughter 18 months ago, now look very big, to me.
They are in fact huge on me. But finally my perception of size seems to be adjusting to my new, current, reality.
I wonder if the size pants I'm wearing now will seem big next year (or however long it takes) when I am at a goal weight that satisfies me?

Here's another one for the brain-hasn't-caught-up-yet basket:
I was shopping with my husband recently and caught a glimpse of myself at a distance in a floor-length mirror. My legs looked slender and lean, but I said to myself, "Pssh, it's probably just the angle. It's doing a fun house mirror trick or something. There's no way my chunky, blobby legs look like that." So for comparison's sake, I looked at my husband's reflection. He looked totally normal - nothing abnormally thin or "fun house mirror" about him. I grabbed his arm, pointed at the mirror, and said, "Are my legs really that skinny? Or are my eyes just playing tricks on me?" He assured me that the mirror was NOT playing tricks on me and that my legs really were that skinny. I really and truly have no idea what I look like sometimes!!9 -
After only losing ten pounds I realized how much easier bounding up a flight of stairs became! Prior to weight loss I was huffing and puffing up a single flight!0

My bottom hurts when I sit on a hard seat. I can live with it though!
One more I get cold much quicker especially my hands.1 -
I never really understood what people meant about feeling "more energetic" as a result to losing weight and living healthier. I always thought that meant more "peppy and annoying".
I was surprised to find out that I'm just "busier". I don't like sitting around all the time. In part it's due to the fact that when I sit around and get bored, I usually start eating. These days I feel like need something to do. I used to stay up until 1-2:00AM just watching TV. Now I just go to bed around 11PM.
I'm also way more involved with my family and my kids. I'm more likely to say "yes" to the question "hey you want to go do X today?", and that feels great.
I always thought I got fat because I was lazy and unmotivated. That might have been the original culprit, but really I think that I got more lazy and unmotivated because I was so fat.
Don;t get me wrong, I still loves me some sleeping on the couch while watching Shawshank Redemption... but I'm way more peppy and annoying than I used to be.
Love this post! It's worded so well. Congratulations on your success!0 -

That's awesome! My GERD symptoms improved but never completely went away, I'm jealous!0 -

Fewer meals out, more reasonable meals out, far fewer junk snacks, etc. all have had a happy impact on my discretionary funds. Kinda a nice little "Non-Scale Victory"
Fat wallet syndrome is definitely going on in our house. I was out of control in the eating out department.5 -

Found many bones after 93 pounds lost. I can walk a much faster speed. My coworkers say I no longer huff and puff. I definitely noticed the impact on my wallet as I eat less now.2

Oh so many, what a lovely idea for a thread!
- No more surgery for endometriosis ( I hope! Last scan showed a reduction in my left endometrioma to way below the size at which they cut them out - good news as this disease has seen me in terrible pain and having major ops!
Basically my body and mind could not deal with being 4 st overweight and went into mental and physical meltdown!! It's beyond fabulous to be freed of that!
I know I'm really late to your post, but I'm hoping you're still around. Do you have any articles or anything about endo being linked to weight loss? I've been in horrible pain from it, and the more I think about it, it's gotten worse with weight gain. I would like to put a shortcut to them on my laptop and phone for extra motivation when I'm not feeling into it.1 - No more surgery for endometriosis ( I hope! I have endo and while I have no cysts or anything at the moment, I've been having all sorts of various problems since I've lost the weight...I do hope for you that losing weight helps to clear your endo. Me? I continue to have problems. Though perhaps not the same ones as before.
