A really quick, efficient way to tone up your arms/shoulders/core is to hold a plank for 3 minutes. Within that time you can switch it up a bit with side-planks or plank jumping jacks/mountain climbers etc...an effective workout in 3 minutes that you can do anywhere!

I wrote the "need" in capital letters as a way of emphasizing how my body feels regarding eating sugar. I am definitely aware of the fact that I want it, not need it. :)
-
Ooo I like that idea, thanks!

The cravings I get for sugar feel the same as the cravings I get for a cigarette, so I feel as though it is an addiction for me (don't judge the bad habit, I'm well aware of how bad it is for me). One of the reasons I want to stop with the sugar for a bit (obviously making exceptions for celebrations, when a friend wants…

Maybe cut back on the exercise a bit (and get a blood test to see if you're anemic/there are other things going on). I know that there have been times when I've been so tired after working out that I begin to get very depressed...which is the opposite of how you're supposed to feel after a workout. Since I found the…

I definitely end up eating more unhealthy foods during the first few days of my period and just see it as giving myself a break. I'm also in way too much pain to be able to exercise for the first two or three days so I typically end up gaining a tiny bit...then around the 4th day I just get back on track with exercising…

The vertical line on the right of the picture is ab muscle definition...you should be excited about it :)

I know that breasts are fat and not muscle so it seems as though the weight I have lost so far has just come right out of one boob haha
-
I guess that's the only reason I could think of...like somehow the chest and shoulder muscles have become stronger on the right side than the left because they were more developed to begin with? Maybe?

Yoga sculpt with free weights at corepower yoga...in 95 degree heat which was amazing

It sounds like you could also work on loving and appreciating yourself a bit more. Your body is your friend, not the enemy! Combined with cutting out the sugar/junk food snacks, doing some strength training stuff (try a fun class like barre or Pilates), I would also recommend that you tell yourself something you LIKE about…

I took it for awhile and did not experience any weight gain. I've taken several other psychotropic meds and never gained any weight from them either. Just remember that your mental/emotional health is just as important as your physical health!!

One day I ate an egg on a piece of whole wheat toast with apple slices and two pieces of bacon and was literally super full for 6 hours. It was so weird. And delicious.

Your form might not be right and it might be your IT band hurting, not a muscle. The IT band runs from the outer pelvis over the side of the hip and down to the knee. You want to make sure your visualizing what muscle you're using when doing an exercise like side plank. What type of pain is it? Does it feel like muscle…

Yep I've definitely had a few days where I felt totally full and satiated but was under 1000 calories. I feel like you should listen to and respect your body and not stuff yourself just to make MFP happy if you aren't hungry. Then again, I posted something like this on here and people were not very kind.

It sounds to me like you're not eating enough to keep your body nourished. I don't know anything about the 5:2 diet but it sounds miserable!

Try taking barre classes! I've been doing pure barre for a few years and it has helped me develop muscle tone more than any other workout I've ever done. Combined with the whole caloric deficit thingy plus moderate cardio you should definitely see change in your body.

Don't forget about genetics cause ya can't change them. Everyone has a baseline weight that their body likes to stay at which can become evident when you're eating healthy (in a sustainable way...not too restrictive) and exercising moderately. I've found that my baseline weight is between 130 and 140 which is at the higher…

I've been able to not eat sugar for most of the month and since I've gotten over my sugar addiction, I don't crave it anymore. The suggestion of just not buying sugary foods or foods with white refined flour has also helped me eat healthy. Something I found helpful when I was starting to cut back on sugar was to buy…

You could also stop going to the gym for a week or two (as well as cutting back some more calories per day). For some reason there have been times where I take a break from working out for a week or 3 and have found that I lose weight during those weeks off. Not sure why, maybe something to do with my…

I I'm 27. And last week I was "-715 over weekly calorie goal" so I think I'm ok.

I don't consider myself heavy. I'm 5'3. I just have a spare tire that I would like to get smaller. I'm sorry if I've come off as wanting to eat only 900 cals a day, I really do eat enough in a week to balance it all out. I guess I was just trying to figure out if MFP was giving me correct information. I also just found it…

I swear I'm not an extreme dieter, and I definitely make sure to eat the right amount of the right nutrients (and I usually eat enough calories, it's mainly on my days off when I literally lie around and do nothing all day that I sometimes don't get to 1000). Healthy fats are my fave, haha. Thank you for the help.

So basically I need to eat around 1200 a day to lose weight (give or take a few on any given day) and if I'm too far below my calorie goal on too many days I won't lose weight cause my body doesn't want me to? Sorry, I'm new to this stuff and really bad at math! (Also feel free to look at my diary)
-
Thanks! I'll decrease my goal. Sometimes after not doing much in a day I find that I'm totally full after eating like 900 cals total (I eat lots of protein and complex carbs that keep my full for a long time) and I hate when MFP tells me I'm not eating enough. I know 900 sounds super low but I'm just trying to listen to my…

You could also try seeing a Feldenkrais practitioner, it's an amazing type of physiotherapy that realigns the whole skeletal structure

I have some back and knee issues and have found that barre classes (pure barre specifically) work really well and don't aggravate my problems. The classes are designed to protect the lower back and joints but they are really really effective in terms of toning and building lean muscle
