That one is for walking, yes, and it was very helpful. Thank you! Is there also one for a lifting weights workout that shows net also? Or is the walking one that you posted the same or close enough?
-
Lietchi, can you post the link to net for working out on weight? I went to that website and found the regular calorie burn for lifting but not for the net. Thank You!

Thank you two!

I do not sync my fitbit with MFP. I neglected to say that. I manually enter minutes and calories burned per walking session, then for my weight workouts. So my exercises are all manually entered. My weight lifting was for 70 minutes then I walked for 22 minutes for a total of 92 minutes, but fitbit only picked up 65…

Thanks!

When the dog stops I keep walking with a 26 foot retractable leash, turn around and walk back past him, rinse and repeat till he is ready to walk some more. You are correct, my dog stops many times in a 30 minute walk but I only stop once if he hits a duece. Thanks for the answer though it was not what I asked.

Thank you Seska, that was very helpful.

So Lillymoood, does that mean that for example, with my lightly active setting (which let's say is your "somewhat active setting") that I am not going to use any steps for extra calorie's burned until I get over 7,500-9,999 steps taken? I will just call it an even 10,000 steps. So, MFP has built into my 1# per week loss…
-
So it sounds like using Sedentary = using all steps to calculate calories burned. I can't find how many steps are used for Lightly Active.
-
So you are saying that at sedentary MFP would not use any if your steps? You count 100% of your steps towards calories burned?
-
Lgfrie, that is a simple solution. Thanks!
-
Apullum, that formula is conservative and undercounts which is better than overcounting. Thank you!

Same thing. Not sure how to delete it.

So the graph showing is each weight loss journey I have been through. Maybe I love the process which is why I resemble a Yo-Yo. That being said I have a lot of historical data now. The next graph that would not expand is the one graph showing only my current weight loss. I might try and post that in its own message.

LOVE THIS ANN!!!!! I got derailed yesterday. Will get mine posted this afternoon! So awesome!

Wow I am so glad to have some fellow data geeks here. When I get home I am going to attach a photo of my chart. Maybe everyone else could take a pic of yours if you have one. I know AnnPT does.
-
AnnPT77 - I love it! I bought the largest pad of graph paper that I could find from Office Depot thumbtacked it to the wall. I have my mechanical .5 pencil and a ruler and each morning add my dot and connect the line. I am a data geek too (liked those two words you used) and track quite a few different things for fun.

My daily calories are set to lose 1 pound per week. I know there is no science to it but it is a consistency that I continue to see. It might stop tomorrow. It sounds like lorrpb experiences a similar thing. And I would now have to agree with what I do today shows up next week.

LOL!!!! I am not on a quest for perfection, I am simply trying to eat 'healthier', exercise more, eat less, lose some weight and add some strength. I am very aware of the hyper vigilance of many in this community who are quick to isolate one item (like Just Egg) and try and paint an overall picture of one leading a very…

I try to eat under my calorie goal daily and add up the extra's each day during the week, giving me extra calories for if my wife and I go out to eat or go out with people. I don't like counting at a restaurant so I know that if I have accumulated 1,000 extra calories, I can eat light that day then just plug in a large…

Alabaster, I agree with you if I was replacing all of my whole foods with alternative foods. How do you figure Just Egg is 'highly processed'? What qualifies as highly processed? Have you read the ingredients? Maybe the ingredients on the label I read all qualify as highly processed, but I can't confirm that.
-
Kimondo - That was interesting. Thanks for the info. Corina - I read the same thing which was why I added one regular egg which gave me the softness that I like. Texture was not grainy to me at all. Looking at the label it says "Consume within 7 days of opening." I purchased a 12 ounce bottle at Whole Foods. So 12 ounces…

Yep! That is why I had to try it after reading reviews. I did not believe it myself till I tried it. I don't think I will give up my real meat though.

For those like me who's doc tells them that they need to lower their cholesterol, this is a perfect food to do it with while not sacrificing taste.
-
It was my first go at it and I love real eggs anyway, so I decided to add one real egg since I would have usually eaten four eggs after my 689 calorie deficit walk. Who knows what I might do next time.....I love being able to more than double the food for the same calories and zero cholesterol. I might have to try that…

I used to worry about the cheat meal or cheat day. Now in my note section of my meal page, at the end of the day I post if I was over or under my goal calories for the day. The I add or subtract it to the next day. If I am in the green (beating my daily calorie goal) then I have those in the bank to use. I use those for…

DUCK PUDDLE & PHIRRGUS - THANK YOU!

Thanks to a few of you for not judging my goals and how I am and to offer suggestions based on the parameters of my question. I appreciate your help!

I weigh each morning for the following reason. If I only tracked my weight once a week, like many here do, (and as you know weight loss is not linear), I could very easily weigh 2 pounds more on my next weeks weigh in, BUT, if I was weighing daily and saw the trend was down, I could rationalize that it was just one of…
