After a year of diagnosis ..I came back to re read this .much more meaningful to me know..like the GLUT4 info..will have to research this..do strongly however believe in th benefits of intermittent fasting so would be contra to the skipping meal advice offered...agree with impacts ar different per individual

Luck to you... Sounds like you have a proven method of control.. Some times waiting and restarting on a Monday can give you the time to psych up and kick start a new plan.. Giddy Up! you won't need luck 😉

Bumper on the diagnosis.. gotta get that liver and pancreas fat down a bit and voila.. you will drop outta T2D levels.. can suggest you try a walk a night after dinner which gets you away from temptation and helps to burn the dinner glucose before it stores away as fat in those critical organs...for craving at night…

Had my first 3 month blood panel and A1C was down from initial 11 to 6.1. Dr. was pleased, and wanted to stay the course with metformin.. I told him I never took the pills.. he was ok with that based on the results he was seeing.. he also seemed to change his tune on it being a progressive disease..so good news.

Just applied to be a participant in our local university study on T2D for newly diagnosed individuals 40-75 yrs of age.. it is based on measuring and improving motivation for home exercise.. I hope I get selected.. they have consultants and assessments..I believe there will be continual glucose monitoring and heart rate…

looks like the answer to my question in the other post on when you measure FBG is answered here - in the morning..I too get high morning FBG .. FYI that kitchen at the new work sounds like the perfect excuse to extend Fasting. can still have green tea as there is a kettle and surprising how that can be effective to hold…

Tried a tip to help reduce Morning High BG levels - take 2 tablespoons of ACV before bedtime - it worked :)

Penne freezes very well - spread cooked/drained penne out on a cookie sheet till frozen, then bag it - I use to go from frozen penne from the freezer direct to the pan.

Starting regiment of daily dosage of CBD oil.. Having poor daytime BG readings even while Fasting..evening BG numbers ar ok..believe it is only on work days..so believe this is cortisol impacting insulin .. CBD is shown to reduce.anxiety and stress..ie tame cortisol..so should work to improve insulin's abilities..
