Well butter is extremely calorie dense, so you should probably not use butter if its weight loss hes after :p But i honestly cant see how your hubby can be healthier if he refuses to eat greens. I mean meat is essential too, but you cant attain optimal health by only eating fats and protein. And not to mention vitamins and…

Well, given that the amount of recommended daily sugar amounts to very little fruit really, i think that if you eat candy and ice cream, you've pretty much ruined your chance at being optimal(not that you HAVE to be, i certainly am not) in that regard. Personally though, I think the recommended daily sugar intake came out…

I think the point is that, while our body needs sugar, for the same amount of sugar you'd eat in cakes, soda and ice cream, you'd get a lot more important nutrients' worth from fruits. Cakes are for self indulgence. Fruits are for indulgence AND keeping your body up to speed and running. It is absolutely ludicrous to argue…

Well yes. That's why the ice cream I had was organic. Im not against fats, sugar OR carbs :) All my days consistently has at least one of the macronutrients in the red because... meh. The important thing, I find, is that you should listen to your body. Once you let go of processed crap for a while, you gain the ability to…

Lol, honestly, the "nice cream" sounds delicious. I hate most dairy ice cream, except chocolate or strawberry. I tend to prefer sorbets. But I just dont understand why people HAVE to eat the real thing they are substituting if they dont feel the need to and if the substitute is as good and satisfying. I mean, of course,…

I agree with this.... Especially about the fat free or light versions. Which is pretty much why i made this alternative, because I like a challenge, and wanted to see if its possible to make a lower calorie version that tastes just like it. But I do not fear real mayonnaise in any way. Although I am sometimes guilty of…

Because it tastes the same. To me anyway :) I think Ive stated this multiple times. Edit: Ok, to satisfy everyone, I have decided to rename the "mayo" to "I-cant-believe-its-not-mayo" :D Win for all!

Really i just mixed in the mayo because it sort of overpowers the avocado taste making it all taste more or less mayo'y. Adding the mustard and lemon helped too because that how we make mayo in my homecountry. I hope you like your avocado spread though :) I hadn't thought of using it with tuna though, so I'm gonna steal…

My point is that I don't think anyone is kidding themselves that these things are the same things, so it really just feels like a nagging finger when someone comes along to tell everyone something they already know. I left the recipe up there for anyone to modify and do with as they choose. That means, they can make…

indeed! xD

I dont see anything particularly wrong with mayo, given that its not eaten too often.. :) But yes.. avocado is superior!

Maybe, but I think we can all assume here that when we use words like "pizza", "mayo" or even "noodles" when they aren't made the traditional way, that we're talking about "food that tastes just like it or close and gives you a similar experience, which we might appreciate when we watch what we eat"... I just think it's a…

Sounds yummy regardless :) I love yoghurt-based sauces/dressings

I agree :) I had made a bit too much of the salad(which is why it took me 3 days to finish that meal :p). I would also halve them, because its easy enough to make, but tastes best fresh. As for olive oil, are you suggesting to add olive oil? because that will probably work too.

I did say I put in normal mayo, and that it tastes the same, did I not? Does it have to be full of oil to be mayo? Technically it still is because it contains eggs, it contains oil, but its just injected with a bunch of avocado :) Also, even if one tablespoon isnt enough, you can do half-and-half and it would still be…
