I'm not sure what my maintenance is and if it is 1400 I can't go lower than 1200 and that's what I've been doing. 1200 was my daily goal, I was only eating half my cardio with that. But most days staying under 1200. That might have been my mistake too. How do I get my maintenance?

I have read up on fasting. The only thing is, don't I have to or should, do it with a BCAA supplement first thing in the morning? I haven't bought one yet, not sure which to trust. I'm a 2x cancer survivor so I have to be cautious with what I put in my body. I'm always afraid I'm gonna run out of fuel, and it's going to…

That's awesome! Good luck! Where do you get body fat percentage tested? Thanks on the feed back! At this point I'm not so hung up on the 4-5lbs as much as seeing a body transformation. That's why I decided to lift since cardio for so many years hasn't done what I'm looking for. So I plan on continuing to lift, and just…

Am I suppose to eat all my exercise calories? I want to try recomp now I believe that will benefit me!
-
Definitely want to give this a try. Seem to be stuck at 119 lbs - 4'11" 47yrs I've been weighing practically everything including spices. Lifting for 3 weeks consistent 5 days week, 2-3 days cardio/week 20-30 minutes.. 1200cals. Pro90grms Fat40grms carbs120grms ..MFP only allows me to do % so that's p30/f30/c40.. Is this…

My 1200 is actually to try to lose. I did try recomp. Not for long though..I went up to 1300 calories then went back down to 1200 after an "expert" recommended I should be at 1200 because it's harder for me to lose/burn. I did lose 2-3 pounds I was at 123 went down to 120 but I wasn't sure if that was water weight. I'm…

To answer those two questions, I feel the need to give you a little history about myself, hope you don't mind. I have been into nutrition and fitness for over 20 years. Backed then I worked in a hospital in the food and nutrition department very close with Chief and assistant dietitians. That's where I learned to count…

It's not water weight, I weight myself everyday so I know when it goes up because of sodium/water. It usually comes right off in 2-3 days when I'm diligent.. Thanks though for the input though
-
Go for it! You can do it!
-
Wow! Do you mean 1200 to maintain and if exercising you eat more or less?... Sorry I'm a little tired and my brain isn't working properly LOL
-
I weigh myself nearly everyday, and I don't freak out over 1-3lbs over, they're usually a day of higher sodium than usual or carbs from the day before.. I do try to watch my sodium n sugar intake but for some reason if I do have a day of Too much pasta or rice, I find that would do it to me as well. But as soon as I'm…

Sorry guys I was tied up..to answer a few of your questions. I do weigh everything I eat, to perfection absolutely not. I try to measure mostly grams and pounds rather than guess. If I'm out dinning (which I barely do these days) of course I dont, I don't carry my scale with me, except for this weekend at a BBQ. My friends…

WOW sounds pretty interesting! Is that called madcow? I've never heard of that. Maybe we can try it together. If that's you in the pic, nice

Thanks, this is all new to me. I'm still trying to understand TDEE and MFP method. I think I want to stick with TDEE method....so if my numbers are 1300 cal 95g pro and 45g fat, are you saying I can either keep it the same on rest days or I can average it out for the week, meaning I can go up on calories on workout days…

Got it! Thank you so much. I will do that! Have a great night or day lol Awesome thread!! I definitely learned a lot THANKS ALL!

I don't eat anything artificial, practically anything from a box except for organic gluten free oatmeal and organic low sodium lentil and vegetable soup maybe once a week. I barely eat meats unless organic, I mostly eat fish. I follow a low sodium (only use a pinch of Celtic salt) and low sugar diet, except when I have a…

Ok perfect thanks. I agree with that. based on all the info I provided what should my macros and daily calories be?
-
Hey, thank you so much for all your replies. I do weigh practically everything I eat. I only use measuring spoons for liquids - Anything that's tsp-tbsp serving. I try to only have healthy fats like coconut oil, avocado, almonds etc.! I eat 5-6 times a day, small meals..of course I have my cheat days, I have the worse…

Thank you. My bad, I'm not feeling too good today, I forgot I did cardio today, beast cardio and abs. I guess the calories from abs I can leave out. And I was able to, before I ate them lol
-
Sounds good! Thanks! That's exactly what I did. I started to feel alil hungry so I opt to have that to be on the safe side. I'm noticing since I started lifting I'm waking up hungry. Why is that?
-
Thanks I can't either, I need to wait 30-45 minutes to then workout.
-
Thank you, I will keep that in mind.

I ordered Body Beast for my husband for Christmas it looked intimidating to me but after being bored with my current routine I decided to try it and work at my own pace and fitness level. I'm on my third week now. I loveee it!! Under 40 minutes and challenging as hell. Just what I need it!!
-
I agree with this 100%...this is exactly what I'm trying after getting it twisted for 23 years. Thanks for confiming it! I already started Beat Body program, not letting their bodies intimidate me. I'm going at my pace and fitness level and after 3 weeks I'm seeing a slight transformation and notice how my strength has…

Can't open link, but according to IIFYM TDEE Calculator, if I did it correctly, is 1595
