I also lose reps on a heavier weight and typically warm up with about 75% of my heavy. As for trying to improve my form, I’ve switched up my program from a push pull leg split to a five day split and I have some new exercises I don’t usually perform. Rear felt flys being one of them. The following day I hurt all along my…

That’s very insightful thank you. I have recently been going heavier on the load so maybe I need to stick to a lighter weight for a few more weeks. Just gets a bit frustrating as just when I think I’m progressing I seem to hurt myself.

My escape, time just for me when all I need to think about is my training. Keeps me fit & healthy Anxiety relief and great de stressor

You should go. I used to go body pump & after first class I was so sore, but it gets easier each time you go. It’s what got me into weights & a great way to learn technique.

So long as you can lift with the correct form then I would say compound lifts over any other exercise is the best way forward

I can relate to that feeling too. I think I’m honestly a little addicted to the feeling that exercise gives me. It sets me up for the rest of the day so I force myself to get it done in the mornings, but like yourself sometimes I just feel exhausted. I’ve lowered my workout plan to 3 maybe 4 times a week now and tried not…

Thank you both for your replies. I will most definitely look into the lifting straps for future training. I’m not sure how I have done it but it’s most definitely from lifting. I have been going heavier than usual so maybe dropping the weight could work. It’s been niggling me for a while but it doesn’t seem to be getting…

Some great advice from other posters. I would say the same. Eat in a calorie deficit and pick workouts that you enjoy. Ask someone to show you how to use any equipment you wish to try. Youve made the first step so good on you.

Keep doing what you’re doing you look great! Congratulations on your weight loss 🤗

I can relate as I tend to spend so much time researching that it can get a bit confusing taking in so much info. I would start by a calorie deficit, and making sure you do some exercise you enjoy and go from there. What do you like to do? Yoga, weights, run, cardio? Find a few you tube channels of some fitness and follow…

44 yr old lifter. It’s totally changed my shape & I love it! Feel free to add me though I don’t always check messages too often 🙈

Well done on completing couch25k 🤗. I would suggest adding in some hills ( if you haven’t already) also try increasing your speed for say 1 minute then slow down for three and repeat. You e done great already and with time you will soon be running faster but in the meantime enjoy and congratulate yourself !

Hi Melanie. You are very inspiring ! Wishing you a very happy birthday 🎁

Well done you look great!

I just worked out my macros and with a few tweaks and just weighing in on the scale, 1500 for me is where I can maintain. I’m still learning myself, but I have just recently really been trying to eat more clean and I’m looking forward to see what happens from there.

Thank you ☺️ Before I started lifting I was eating around 1200 a day and lots of runningbut then I would overeat at weekends. I just wasn’t eating enough and didn’t have my diet on point. I now eat around 1500 calories a day and I mainly lift. I try to do some HIIT and a run now and then but I am mainly focused on lifting…

Great recomp! You look amazing 🙌

So frustrating when you hit a brick wall. When I was eating 1300 a day and also hitting the gym with lots of cardio nothing was working for me either. Once I ditched the amount of cardio and just concentrated on lifting that’s when I found a change and started shifting the pounds. Do you still stick to calories defecit…
