Girl I think I accidentally got the wrong weight too. Mine says I'm 350 and well.... Nevermind.

I also thought about putting the scale away for a month or so but then someone suggested a website called trendweight.com. You weigh daily and it helps "smooth" out all the fluctuations to show a (hopefully downward) trend line. I love it so far and it makes me feel better when the scale jumps up for no good reason. Just…

January 5th Exercise: Yes! 20 min stationary bike, 20 min treadmill Calories: Yes! But it was a higher calorie goal today (banked some exercise cals for a gyro!) Tracked: Yes! Though the gyro was kind of a best guess and hopefully an over-estimation

Okay I have to ask. How do you track calories for something like this? Haha

I lost 150 lbs, maintained for three years, and gained back 200! Trust me, I know how you feel about having to do it ALL over again. :( Edit: Also meant to say good luck and add me as a friend if you'd like!!

January 4th Exercise: Yes, 7700 steps with most of it coming from purposeful/mindful walking Calories: Yes Fracked: Yes

Good luck to you! I think I will try eating half the calorie adjustment back. I'm just not yet convinced my TDEE is so high! Will re-evaluate in a few weeks.
-
@Duck_Puddle Thanks! I'm 5'8' 350lbs and 24 years old, so I guess it is possible I burn that much... I guess I keep thinking I am my smaller self -- I used to weigh 140. I'll give it a try for a few weeks! @shadow2soul My RHR looks good. The HRM is pretty darn accurate on me. I've been keeping tabs all day just to see.
-
Thanks! I do have negative adjustments turned on. Have you had success eating back you calorie adjustment each day?
-
January 3rd Exercise: Yes! 40 minutes of recumbent bike and treadmill Calories: Yes! Tracked: Yes!

Hi everyone! This is my first time joining a challenge of any kind. Back in 2011 I lost 150 lbs using MFP but unhealthily. I developed a severe eating disorder and have worked hard for several years to get past it... Unfortunately, I learned how to stop purging but not how to stop binging under stress. And I went through a…

This thread has inspired me! I finally pulled the trigger and bought a brand new fancy Fitbit (I've had the zip for a long time, now I have the new Charge 3) I hope to up my NEAT significantly. Lately I've been spending most of my days in bed with nothing to do (between college graduation and starting work). Now I have a…

Thanks for this post! I'm about to start work (just graduated college) and I've been nervous about waking up earlier too.

FOUND THE PROBLEM! Haha oh whew. More than doubled my wattage by increasing the resistance! Thanks so much guys!
-
I also suggest talking to your therapist. :) But as someone who struggled with bulimia for a long time (which eventually morphed into BED without the purging), I can understand. I gained a ton of weight that I've finally decided to do something about the healthy way. But yesterday, I stepped on the scale and I was "up" 1.5…

@sijomial Thank you! Also, damn why was my power so low? You're right, I must not have had much resistance on the pedals because I was peddling at a pretty good pace the entire time! (I think 90 rpm) Will try upping the resistance today and see what I can do.

Oh, OP. A wonderful resource is something-fishy.org This website helped me come to terms with the fact that I had an ED and not only needed but deserved help.
-
This is how my eating disorder started. I lost weight first reasonably healthy. Then somewhere along the way food and exercise became an obsession. I started restricting more and more. Started fearing food so much that it led to purging. And not just vomiting either - I took laxatives, exercised for hours, and fasted on…

I never eat breakfast. On the rare occasion that I do, I find myself hungrier throughout the day and down 300-400 calories to boot!
-
This is a very common thought among people with eating disorders. I remember thinking at my worst that if I just lost 10 more pounds, THEN I could get the help I needed. I wish I had gotten help sooner. Please speak with your primary care doctor or dietician and ask about setting up a team, if you do not currently have one.
-
Good idea. Thank you! Also surprised to learn not everyone has that initial drop in weight!
-
Yes, I'm using MFP's calculations and keeping track of calories. Using a food scale too when possible. Thanks for the info!
-
Dang girl. Okay, since you clearly won't accept "please get help" as a reply to your posts, I will answer sincerely. Yes, I'm perfectly fine having a goal weight that is technically over the normal BMI range. It's taken a long time, a lot of treatment for my ED, and some just plain growing up to realize that I liked my…

My goal is 3-5 times a week. I used to exercise 7 days a week, multiple times per day but it was not healthy.
-
How long have you been maintaining your weight?

Wat

Thanks!! Also, the more I think about it... 1700 calories a week is just too much to bank even for a caloric meal with my grandma. Haha. I think I'll spread them out some more. Thanks everyone!
-
Thank you! I feel pretty well right now but it's only been a few days. I will definitely watch my energy levels. This might not be a thing I do on a regular basis, because ~1700 calories is a lot to have banked!
-
Oh good to know! I'll look into the premium upgrade.

I started over (about 2 years ago and I'm only now starting... yeah, it's taken me that long to kick my butt in gear). My old account from 2010-2012 was very closely tied to my bulimia mindset. Seeing all my old 500 calories per day entries made me sad! Edit: Oh, and my friends sucked!! I remember one lady who reamed me…
